Texas Petition follow up.

Earlier I posted and the petition was at 30,000 signatures, it now stands at 50,000. 27 more days left to get signatures.

In three days there have been 50,000 signature.

It seems like most states will get 30,000 by December such as Alabama and Florida. They're already at 10,000.

Texas's governor previously has already spoken about this like 4 or 5 years ago(so I read).

So if he gets in on it, and other state officials it could happen, very unlikely but it could happen. HOPEFULLY.

2016 man, I'd vote for him if he was given a chance, if Mitt Romney got the Rep. nominee then logically Ron Pual could get it.

Not gonna happen man, the fact that people actually want to secede is beyond stupid, their state shouldn't leave the U.S., the people signing this petition should.

I think Texas would do great separate from the U.S, they're very independent as it is. They have the 15 best economyin the WORLD, andthe U.S wouldn't stop dealing with Texas, cause if they did they would lose a lot. The federal government needs its states more than the states need it.

50,000 may sound like a lot, but its still just 0.2% of Texas' population.

I'm not saying they can't or couldn't sustain it but what reason do they have for such a outrageous thing? They aren't being opressed, they aren't being treated bad, and they have no legitimate reason. This isn't the 1800s, just because someone got elected that you didn't like doesn't give you the right to even ask for it, it's jist a small minority of the Texas population bitching that Romney wasn't elected president.

Now tell me. How will Texas raise an army? How will Texas form global relations? How ill Texas do a bunch of other things? I don't think the government will let it anyways petition or not.
