Cheesy is when people are trying too hard. Parents are cheesy when they try to use 'hip' lingo, or when someone's trying to fit in and it just doesn't work. I don't think cheesy applies here, it's supposed to mean some kind of inauthenticity.

Juubito, Tobito, etc. makes sense because when someone calls him that, you know which part of the manga they're referring to. If someone calls him Tobito, then you know it's post-identity-reveal. If it's Juubito, you know they're talking about jinchuuriki Obito. If it's Tobi, you know it's pre-reveal of who really is in charge of Akatsuki. If it's Madara, you know they're talking about post-Pain.

It's suitable because he's had so many identities in the series. Plus he doesn't care what anyone calls him, he said so himself.
