Uzumaki are still around. They're just scattered.
They went extinct unless the Boruto manga revealed something that I'm not aware of.

They didn't go extinct. Their homeland were destroyed and they were scattered.

So practically extinct where only remnants of the Uzumaki clan remain.
Given they had their own country. Few could mean as many as thousands or less than that. We have no reason to believe they are at the level of being extinct.
The uchihas didn't have their own country and had their numbers cut down to 3 people. Two if you dont include Sakura.
Although they have numbers if the clones are allowed.

That's a distortion of the sentence. Few is what it means. If Kishimoto's intent dictated that only a few thousand survivors existed, it would've been stated.
The few survivors. the clan was decimated. Stop defending foddder clans.
Stop being a spoiled child like Sasuke was until Naruto beat the stupidity out of Him. Remember its canon Sasuke said "I Quit" and you can't change that.Naruto is the star because Sasuke is the moon
It isn't a distortion of the sentence. Few could mean anything. The fact of the matter that they aren't extinct or "practically extinct".
To prove the point, the official translations doesn't even state their numbers. Only that "survivors" fled and they were eradicated.

They were eradicated, yes. But there's still no mention of their numbers. Who is to say that they're numbers are low enough for them to be extinct? Endangered? more than likely, but not extinct. "Practically extinct" would be Sasuke prior to Sarada's birth and the shin clones. Practically extinct is Konohamaru and Mirai. Literally the last two Sarutobi in the world.
The bold alone gives the implication that the clan was slaughtered, hence why so few are even present in the manga to begin with. You're arbitrarily applying a meaning that isn't even indicated within the manga.
Both clans were eradicated out of fear and thus, both suffered the same fate.
"survivors fled and hid themselves"....were there any uchiha survivors?

same principle could be applied to senju
You just can't admit when you've made a mistake can you? XD
Extinct means there is nothing left. Not a few hundred not 5 not 1.
Dinosaurs are extinct
Dodo birds are extinct
Senju clan has Tsunade(half blood)
Uzumaki still has Karin(full blood)and Naruto(half blood)
Uchiha Has Sasuke(full blood) and Sarada (half blood)
As long as even 1 is alive then the clan isn't extinct.
Senju clan is arguable of course as we haven't seen any full blood Senju alive to this date.
