Retcon is needed - a problem with Kakashi's/Obito's/Gai's/etc age

Ok, so I made a thread about how I think Obito might be older than Kakashi, but then thought I made a mistake at one point... well, after further analysis, Kakashi's and other ninja of his generation's age needs to be retconed.

Here's the problem:
1) Kakashi was stated to become a chunin at the age of 6.

This is the exam in which he became a chunin, so - he was 6 here.

2) Obito was stated to graduate from academy at the age of 9 and become chunin at the age of 11.

3)
Yet, he's participating in the SAME CHUNIN EXAM as 6 years old Kakashi. So they CANNOT be the same age, because it would mean Obito took part in chunin exam at the age of 6. This can't be true, since he became a GENIN at the age of 9!

4) Yet Kakashi Gaiden implies they are at the same age - Obito "died" when he was 13 and Kakashi became a jonin when he was 13.

In other words, there IS a timeline mistake in the manga. Luckily for Kishimoto, most of this age information comes from databooklets and not manga, so this still CAN be retconed.

Kakashi should be 4 years younger than Obito, Rin, Gai and the rest of his generation ninja.

Then it would all fit the timeline.

Thank you, finally some sense on the base. +Rep

It's funny how the proof is here, and yet people still say that Kakashi and Obito are the same age lol.

Face it, Obito was not 14 when the Kyuubi attack occured, he was older, and if he probably had a huge growth spurt like Naruto to become so powerful.

Kishi's fail. There's no way Kakashi is 6 years old in that chuunin exam. He looks older than everyone else lol. He's also taller than Obito, who is supposed at least 3 years older than him?

EDIT: This doesn't change the fact that Obito was looking still like a kid when he died, and we know that the kyuubi attack was 1 year after. Doesn't matter his age at all, the problem is that in 1 year he grew so much in power, since he was a failure when he died, and let's be serious, he unlocked sharingan at 16 years old? He was the same age as kakashi. If the difference was at least 3 years old, you could've noticed obito is grown up. Look at the difference between little naruto and naruto:shippuuden naruto.

If Obito lost, then he failed. So, Kakashi took his Chunin status at 6, but Obito lost at 9 in the same Exams. That would be 3 years. So, Obito was between 14 and 17 when he went toe-to-toe with Minato. If 17, that would mean that his death would have been at 16, not 13 as previously reported, since Kakashi was clearly 13 when he went Jonin. In any case, he went from being a crap ninja at 13/16 to being a super hokage level at 14/17. Does it matter?
