A major theme in Naruto is the new generation surpassing the older generations. With this in mind I think I know how Naruto will end.

In order for the main characters and the main generation to surpass the previous ones a few things need to happen and parallels need to be established.

[ parallels ]
• Naruto=Hashirama, Jiraiya, Minato
• Sakura=Tsunade, Her parents
• Sasuke=Madara, Orochimaru, Fugaku

Now let's look at how they can surpass them.

[ Naruto ]

Hashirama- Founded a village but didn't get to save his friend or see his granddaughter grow older.

Jiraiya- Strong shinobi, couldn't save friend or get his love to love him.

Minato- Hokage, but couldn't see son grow up and couldn't finish rasengan.

In order for Naruto to surpass hashirama he must become the strongest shinobi of all time and save Sasuke. He can do this by becoming the juubi jinchuriki and by helping Sasuke fulfill itachi's dream of a peaceful village for everybody including the new uchiha.

All he as to do to surpass Jiraiya Is save Sasuke and bang sakura.

As for minato he just has to survive and be a father longer than 10 minutes.

Naruto will achieve these things by the end of the manga.

[ Sakura ]

Tsunade- Strongest female kunoichi and best female medical ninja. Can't gamble successfully and has a drinking problem. Also has a lot of friends and family die.

Her Parents- raised sakura.

Surpassing Tsunade will require Sakura to learn slug sage mode, save her friends and families lives, get stronger an better, and tell Naruto her feelings before he dies. She also needs to not gamble and lose as much.

As for her parents she just has to get pregnant and raise a useful shinobi.

Sakura will achieve these things and this will be her legacy by the manga's end.

[ Sasuke ]

Madara- Second strongest shinobi of his generation. Couldn't become hokage, uchihas ditched him, can't beat his rival.

Orochimaru- sannin who wants to learn all the jutsu in the world. Can't achieve his perfect body.

Fugaku- uchiha police captain. Got killed by his own kid.

Surpassing madara will require Sasuke to defeat Naruto in their fight yet not kill him, become hokage and a respected leader and bang some chicks to rebuild the uchiha clan

In order to surpass orochinaru Sasuke will have to gain the rinnegan, which will allow him to know all the moves in the world, and survive.

Sasuke just needs to not get killed by his kid to surpass Fugaku.

This is what Sasuke will achieve by the end of the manga and how it will end for him.

I agree to an extent, but I feel (I theorized it) Sasuke will gain Madara's scale Susano'o + Time Manipulation. He's too pure of an Uchiha to replace his name sake eyes for the Rinnegan. Plus, Time Manipulation > Rinnegan.

Naruto will be the Ultimate power and Sasuke will learn Humility and that Humility will make Him either a better man and He will be Naruto's right hand man. Or make Sasuke the future villain in a time skip. Sakura will probably end up as the future Head medical Master in the Hospital and carry out Tsunade's dream of a Medical Ninja college so that each team gets a medical Ninja.

Sasuke needs to overcome the curse of hatred. He does not need to do this by winning against Naruto. He will lose to Naruto and won't become Hokage. The part where he surpasses Madara comes when he accepts Naruto as Hokage. Madara as unable to do this. He was too arrogant and believed he should be Hokage. When Naruto wins, he should surpassed the First by offering his hand to Sasuke in friendship as opposed to literally stabbing him in the back. In order to surpass Madara, Sasuke has to take that hand and accept his role as advisor to Naruto

Madara wasn't angered because he didn't become Hokage. It was because of the possibility and or certainty of Tobirama becoming Hokage. He knew Tobirama would find a way to seclude them from the village and this angered him.
