Orochimaru is retired from his evil objectives and he now dreams pink and about being a good parent to his child. Don't forget this series is about a new generation, everything from the past, is in the past.

Lol, Mitsuki IS a clone of Orochimaru himself. It's true we're not looking at the original one, but Mitsuki is basically a new version of Orochimaru rather than being his son
And I didn't say he would become a villain again nor said that the show would focus on him as much as the new gen. He's overall relevant and it's been already hinted that he's connected to the plot
