Also there's is very heated topic between jiraiya and itachi that I thiunk we all wouild like to cleared once and for all. There's a page from part 1 where itachi and kisame talk about Jiraiya how they wouldnt be able to face him.

I know there's alot errors with that one the current translation just doesnt make sense the sentence structure is all wrong english wise.

Could you go through everything related to Tobi, Madara, Hashirama and Rikudou? All of Tobi's texts, someone talking about Tobi,Madara,Hashirama or Rikudou. Yamato, Orochimaru and others discussing Hashirama and his mokuton. Those ones >_<

I am sure there are plenty of mistakes. If you have time and desire to do this, it would be nice.

Ya the whole convo between Itachi and Kisame was butchered, to be sure. It seems the anime actually did the better job with the translation, but they were referring to the Kyuubi during the first half rather than Jiraya..... very interesting stuff.

But it seems the general basis of the conversation is the same, Kisame considered Jiraya to possibly be a match for him and Itachi together, but Itachi did not say that they'd both die fighting Jiraya, it was Kyuubi he was referring to. That basically confirms what most people thought, that Jiraya is superior to both Itachi and Kisame individually.

But as others have stated before, since this is a convo from part one, so I don't consider it 100% fact. There are things that Kishi might not have come up with back then and therefore the comparisons of their strengths could be very different now. Most likely, Kishi had not thought of Sage mode nor Kisame's transformation with Samehada, so the battle could go very differently now. Basically, I'm just saying that I don't consider that convo to be 100% fact, but in general, I do think that Jiraya is better than Itachi or Kisame individually.

Great thread, good to clarify the Itachi and Kisame thing, its obvious that Itachi is more powerful than Jman, but to think Kisame said that Itachi could have a chance against the Kyubi is shocking.

To add to Floydical's explanation, Itachi pre timeskip never revealed to anyone that his Sharingan could do such a thing or that he was affiliated with someone who had a Sharingan that could. :shrug:

There are 576 issues of Naruto at the moment and believe it or not I don't have the time to go through each and every issue, find the raws of them and translate them over again.

If you could just give me specific pages from specific issues it would be a lot more easier.

The above translation is way off.

Kisame - You could somehow win, but I couldn't stand up to such an opponent for more than a couple of minutes... It's on a completely different level.
Itachi - Ah... Either (we) both (he says both/two, meaning him and Kisame) would die, or it would be a draw... The result wouldn't change even if we increased our numbers.
Kisame - It was good that we found him at the ramen shop... And he has one of the Legendary Sannin as a lucky charm. That guy (Jiraiya) might be a fair match for the strongest Uchiha from Konoha and the Mist's strongest swordsman.
Itachi - Hmm, even so... It's said that every strong man has a weakness...​

Kisame and Itachi were talking about the Kyuubi, not Jiraiya. Kisame brings the topic of Jiraiya up later on in the conversation and Itachi acknowledges that he's strong, but he says that he has a weakness. *girls girls girls*

It seems as if Kisame was babbling on about taking the Kyuubi on, that he couldn't do it more than a couple of minutes but Itachi would have a chance. Itachi states that they both wouldn't stand a chance of winning, even if they increased their numbers. Kisame states that it was lucky to find Naruto in the ramen shop but Jiraiya would pose a problem and Itachi just says; girls girls girls. <3

Thank you so much Kirin Rei! It finally makes sense who Tsunade was talking about. The mizukage obviously has the best water techniques, so it would only make sense to use it on her.

I hate when the people who initially translate it are wrong.
