All this time naruto has been seen as a ret@red but I disagree. You see its all an act. Naruto knows by observation that sasuke overestimates his opponent's and that he and sasuke will fight again. So naruto pretends to be dumb and not perceptive when he actually has his fathers genius. By holding back sasuke and many other opponent's underestimate him and he can get by with more moves without them thinking he can do them strategically.
