Personality: Born in ancient Egypt, Teth-Adam is as old school as old school can get with his old-fashioned and militant ideals of justice, and his officious and strongly opinionated attitude. He is arrogant and proud and will not tolerate any sort of what he sees as insubordination. Seeing himself as a god in his own right, Adam feels free to do as he pleases. Powered by The Dark Lightning, he has become even more ruthless and dominant than before.

Rank // History

Rank: Minion

Origin Type: Magic Origin

Origin Story:
Teth-Adam was a slave in Kahndaq, where almost the entirety of his family was killed by the dictators — all except his nephew Aman, whom Adam eventually managed to contact and help escape from imprisonment, being mortally wounded by guards in order to buy him time.

Aman, however, refused to abandon his dying uncle, and rescued him. Together, while escaping the underground prisons, they found themselves magically transported into the Rock of Eternity, where they were greeted by Shazam. The wizard, deeming Aman pure, offered him the role of his champion, giving him the task of freeing Kahndaq — which Aman accepted on the condition that Shazam healed Adam. Explaining that the gift bestowed upon him could be shared with his family, Shazam gave Aman his powers, healing and empowering Adam in the process.

Being returned to Kahndaq, Aman and Adam contemplated how to use their powers in order to free their people. While Adam was willing to destroy the dictators and exact revenge for their dead family, Aman wanted to save them and give them peace, stopping all bloodshed. Fearing that Aman's method would not work, Adam killed him and seized his powers for himself, seeing it as a necessary sacrifice for the greater good.

Black Adam is known in legend for having defeated the dictators and the Seven Sins, successfully freeing Kahndaq. Though myth says he merely disappeared, Black Adam actually turned against the Council of Eternity and murdered all its members but Shazam — the wizard, however, managed to overpower and seal Black Adam away.

History: With the heroes MIA and the villainous heroes from mirror dimension rapidly conquering the world, the people of Khandaq had no choice but to release their dark god. Infuriated that these superhumans dared try to rule over him and his people, Black Adam rushed towards the leader of the villainous syndicate (some sort of syndicate for crime, if you will), but he proved too much for Adam, broke his jaw and froze him, leaving him for dead. Things got even worse when the Egyptian gods that bestowed him his power rejected him for his weakness and withdrew their power from him, leaving him an ancient withered man preserved only by the fact that he was frozen in ice. Meanwhile, the other villains of his Earth teamed up in a kind of league of injustice to fight against the evil mirrors of their arch enemies.

By the time the league of injustice had finished off the syndicate for crime, Black Adam — now the withered and dying Teth-Adam — had defrosted just below his jaw and the dark lightning that used to belong to its now deceased former owner was without a vessel. Desperately, Teth-Adam cried out for Shazam in an attempts to get his power back, but his damaged and ancient jaw ended up saying "Mazahs!" instead of "Shazam!" and the dark lightning struck him and filled him with a new, darker power.

Shattering the ice and around him, he soared into the sky with a mighty and triumphant roar that shook the very clouds. His powerful body crackled with the malevolent lightning. Ra Adam was born — and he had an ego to repair...
