Land of Mountains

As implied, there exist several mountain ranges across the entire country. The lowest point, located in the southwest of the country as the Haze Village, is still several hundred feet above sea level, for example. A group of Mercenaries known as the Luciano Family can be found here, stationed in a large building where they take several bounties daily.

Finally having reached the Land of Mountains, Habaki made his way up the mountain ranges, trying to reach the highest point. Once there, he would station himself with Alexander and rest up.

We finally made it!

Alexander continued to follow Habaki through the mountainous range. They finally had made it to the highest point, although very physically exhausted. Alexander fell to the floor panting for air as he looked towards Habaki with a happy face.

We can finally get started.. =]

And when the sun goes down, the curtains roll and a faint light is seen from the windows of the mighty mansion. The Mansion of the Luciano Family, located in the Land of Mountains. It is stationed at the highest point of the mountain range. Cheerful murmurs, clanking of exquisite wine glasses, and friendly laughters were heard inside..Some dancing around having a great time in the halls, as their shadows reflected on the main window's curtains. And then bold steps were heard, a man descending down from the stairs which fall exactly in the middle of the hall. As the man walked down, the murmurs quiet down, the singing stopped, the music silenced. Respect at the highest peak when he addressed the children of his family..

May the family last forever, May the light shine upon you as the bonds between the individual strengthens. A toast to the light, The light of the Luciano family."

He raised the glass and with an outstanding cheer the crowd followed..

May this Mansion stay alive forever!

… a prayer sent to the skies as the family whispered.. "forever".

A messenger bird appears in the horizon, steadily growing bigger as it approaches the mountain's peak. Spiraling towards the opened window, the bird flies in and swoops low, dropping a scroll on a desk. As the scroll lands, the bird ascends once more, taking off out of the window. The scroll, landing between the mercenaries, unravels to reveal details of an issued bounty.

A few weeks had passed since their arrival in the Land of Mountains. Both Habaki and Alexander made quite the progress in the rebuild of their Family Mansion. Habaki was currently in his office reviewing the old records of their house hold, trying to cross out the things they needed to do and take care of. It was then that a messenger bird swooped in and dropped a scroll was dropped directly on his desk. Habaki inhaled deeply through is kiseru as he reached for the scroll and unraveled it. He quickly exhaled as he began to read the information within it.

"Hmm.. interesting.. *smirks*"

Habaki said as he read the contents inside of the scroll. It was no ordinary message, it was a bounty form that had been placed on a certain individual. Habaki was surprised yet happy at how the word had spread of their whereabouts and new found position. Habaki placed the scroll back on the desk as he yelled out to Alexander.

ALEXANDER!!!!

ALEXANDER!!!!
It was just another normal day for Alexander, he was currently working on finalizing the fixes to the mansion's roof. The soothing breeze of the higher altitude was very relaxing as he worked vigorously. He was completely caught off guard as Habaki yelled out to him, the sudden scream nearly made Alexander fall of the roof as he had flinched off his footing. The scream had come from the same area as Habaki's office. Alexander placed his tools on his back and leaped off his positioning, under tossing his tool bag through his room's window as he continued to run through the roof and into Habaki's office. As he entered, he saw Habaki calmly sitting on his desk chair, with a scroll inside.

Did something bad happen?

Nothing bad happened, as a matter a fact, something really good happened. Habaki leaned forward, placed his hand on the scroll and shoved it forward and flipped it so that Alexander could read the contents inside. It seems you have your first mission! The request is pretty simple, find the guy and kill him by any means necessary. Though don't take things for granted, you know the world can be a cruel place, stay on your toes.

Alexander's eyes widened upon hearing Habaki's speech. He was shocked yet honored that he would be going on his first bounty hunt so soon after having re-built their family mansion. Although joyful, Alexander expressed a very serious look as he reached for the scroll and grabbed it in order to fully read the contents inside.

You don't have to worry, I've been a rogue before you know... Well I should get going right away!

Still, be careful and always watch your back. Before you go, take this special scroll. Although it is empty inside, the second you unravel it, it will notify me instantly. This will be our way of communicating, if you see you are getting into trouble, open the scroll and it will be a defensive signal.

Habaki placed a special seal inside of the scroll as he handed it to Alexander.

Off you go and good luck.

Sealing Technique: Hermes' Reply| Fuuinjutsu: Hermes' Touben
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short (When seal is applied on the object)
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user applies a sealing formula to a case of sorts (the 'case' doesn't necessarily have to be a case. It can be a letter, door, scroll, jar, box, suitcase, etc. Anything that can be opened can have the seal applied to it. After applying the seal, it seems to disappear on the object but is still there, just no longer visible. Seemingly doing nothing, the seal allows the user to know if the object has been opened. Once the object is opened, the seal is broken and the user is mentally alerted.

Understood.

Alexander knew this was his chance to prove his worth, so he tried his best to act very professionally. He took the scroll and rushed to his bedroom in order to suit up. He opened his weaponry closet and put on his battle armor, and strapped on his special gunbai. He grabbed the essentials for the trip and shoved them into his leather bag, the one he always uses on trips. He then jumped off his window and bit his thumb, thereafter chaining a few hand seals and slamming his hand on the roof, summoning a generic Griffin, large enough to be ridden on. The Griffon took flight immedieatly and headed East towards the land of Fang.

(Kuchiyose no Jutsu) - Summoning Technique
Rank: B
Type: Defense/Attack/Suplementary
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description:
To summon the creature the ninja will wipe blood on his hand, perform the Boar → Dog → Bird → Monkey → Ram handseals and then touch the ground or another object, where a sealing formula will appear. Though it appears that as long as significant pressure is placed against the blood in some form, the summon will be complete, most summoning uses use a solid surface, though in some cases it can even be done mid air. There can be variations to the summoning steps, some ninja like Temari will wipe blood on her fan, then by swinging the fan the animal is summoned. Other ninja like Orochimaru wipe the blood across a snake tattoo on their arm first, then touch the ground. Others will clap their hands directly like Nagato through the use of his Animal Path. The user must have signed the contract with the creature he wants to summon but the technique can be used to summon a generic creature of that contract (B-Rank) which will have no special traits or abilities beyond those normal to the rest of the animals in the contract. The animal is always summoned on the mark that appears upon slamming the users hand or, if not the case, always in short range of the user.

Coming from here

Feitan and gang continued on their quest to claim various lands. Although Inchato and most recently Alexander took their leave for whatever their purpose was, Feitan was now entrusted to carry on the duty given by the Tsuchikage. After the creation of bond with Hoshigakure, Team Rock greeted the villagers and then advanced further forward. They exited the vilage and now entered the greater territories of it. After walking for a while, Feitan takes out a tiny scroll with a coloured map on it. He beckoned the team to halt as he'd analyze the ways they would take to reach Land of Mountains, their next destination. With the help of his team mates, Feitan comes to an agreement to take the south route, as it was the shorter one. After an uneventful long walk, they'd enter the new Yama no Kuni.

Rumor had it that a group of mercenaries called Luciano Family had come to this place first. The former Tsuchikage, Mathias, was the head of this small organization. He was indeed a respectable and feared man across the Ninja World, but Feitan believed that the fact they had been comrades before, they'd allow him to do what was to be done.

As expected, the view was quite spectacular. Scenes of several reanges of mountains stringed to each other which expanded across the horizon was always admirable to see; it seemed like the nature really loved the west part of the Ninja World. Or so Feitan thought. Maybe it was that he had took a natural liking to the mountains environment because he had been an Iwagakure ninja for a long time. Either way, this kind of view brought peace and joy within Feitan's psyche. The Heat Haze Village lied just below the tall cliff. He still had to snap himself out of his day dreaming and return back to reality. As the team was standing on top of a tall cliff, they'd suddenly find themselves surrounded by a group of rouge ninjas, or so they appeared. They had no headband anywhere in their body. One of the ambushers spoke.

"What did you guys come here for?!

Silence followed in Team Rock's side. Feitan would take a little step forward and continue speaking.

"Unless you guys are affilated with Kagero Village somehow, you're just wasting our time. Begone if you don't want your heads flying off your necks."

The group of ninjas gulped after Feitan's words. It was true that they weren't related to Heat Haze Village, they were just ordinary bandits who picked on the few people which came this way. After realizing this much, Guy stepped in and patted Feitan's shoulder.

Guy: "Go, Feitan. We will handle this."

With a simple nod, Feitan stepped backwards and jumped off the cliff as the rest of the team started taking care of the group of bandits. At fast speeds Feitan would slide his way down the cliff raising up some dust as he did so. In mere moment's he'd find himself inside the village's own territory. As expected, it was kind of dead. Though it still had some kind of activity, it wasn't a loud village, and Feitan liked this. The behaviour of the villagers is what you'd expect; locked in fear by seeing a foreigner. Feitan didn't put much attention and followed the main road which led to this huge building which most likely was the Kage's residence. Traditionally, a set of guards awaited in front of the mansion's gates. As he approached them, Feitan pointed at his Iwagakure headband.

"As you can see, I'm a ninja of Iwagakure. I've come here not to bring any naught influence, but I'd like to speak with your Kage. Confine all my weapons if need be, I need you all to take me to him."

Puzzled, the guards looked at each other. After short mutters between themselves, they gave the sign of approval by nodding and decided to take Feitan to the kage. The kage's room was a fairly big room even though it was kind of empty. The faint light of the sun teared through the curtains and lighted the person's face which was sitting by the desk; the Kage of this village. By what Feitan could make out, he was an old man who was physically worn out, with a fixated look in his eyes. The guards stood beside the room's gates and let Feitan to approach the Kage.

"Greetings. I'm a shinobi of Iwagakure and our Tsuchikage has seen the best interest of us creating an alliance, and I am his messenger. As a greater and stronger faction, we will provide protection and supplies in return of a long-term loyalty to our village."

The Kage stroked his white beard and had a distrustful look in his face. "As you can see, the state of the village is very poor. The various attacks done by others to this village have really affected the citizen's spiritual state, and this would result in a poor productivity performance. Because of that, our people are easily distrustful... The drought in the other hand... I'm afraid we won't be accepting this, young man."

"This way you're just running away. We're here to offer help and you're refusing it of the reasons you stated. That's why exactly what we're trying to fix. In fact, on our way here, me and my team were ambushed by a group of bandits. They most likely were trying to aim at this village, and my team mates are risking their lives to defeat them."

The old Kage saw some sort of determination in Feitan's eyes, and was ultimately shaked off - he'd finally accept Feitan's proposal. With a slight and friendly smirk, Feitan exchanged a few more words with the Kage before he signed the piece of paper, a proof to their alliance.

The moment Feitan went outside, he stringed a set of handseals to make it rain. Maybe this would help against the drought a little bit... The Dark user then joined up with his team, who had seemingly rofl stomped the laughable bandits.

Coming from here

Geets lands ahead of his unknowing victim, and decides to set up camp near The Haze village. Doing 7 seals, he uses his chakra to create rain clouds and coats them in a layer of wind chakra that strengthens them making them more difficult to blow away, as they rain down chakra filled rain linked to Vegeta adding a second layer to his sensing. Vegeta then also creates a tag which he lies on the ground then does the confrontation seal activating it. This would add a third layer, allowing him to detect anything moving underground and all around the entire mountainous terrain, even if he couldn't sense it otherwise. When his man arrived, he'd know and would move accordingly..

Fuuton: Akiro no kingu | Wind Release: King of The Fall
Type: Defense | Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Mid/Long
Chakra Cost: 40
Damage Points: N/A
Description:
Akiro no Kingu is an activation technique derived from the Jaakuna gēmu technique. The jutsu is activated with a single hand seal directly after any technique that produces rain or storm clouds in order to produce a defensive mechanism created from wind. Due to the nature of the technique it is activated fast enough to be done in the same time frame as the jutsu used prior. Alternatively, it can also be used on naturally present clouds around the terrain. As the clouds are formed in the terrain, wind coats the shape of the clouds, though the wind around the clouds is unique in the fact it takes on a semi-intangible state. To a normal eye the coat of wind around the clouds would go completely unnoticed other than the slight white sparkle it gives off and the slight distortion in the air above the terrain, though the chakra could be seen with a doujutsu or sensed by sensors. Once the technique has been activated it will stay coated on the chosen set of clouds and will move along with them if they so happened to move, seeing as clouds usually don't stay motionless. The coat also acts as something that keeps the clouds together as a whole, preventing them from scattering and becoming dispersed. With the air around the clouds being Semi-intangible, the rain or other liquids that are produced from the clouds will be able to fall down unscathed, as if nothing was lingering around the clouds at all. The wind only comes into play and reacts to energy based techniques, such as lightning, fire, or other wind techniques (this includes energy based CE/KG). This allows the wind to act as a defensive mechanism to these energies according to the strengths and weaknesses of them. The coat of air around the clouds would effectively prevent any lightning from entering or exiting the clouds without being stopped due to the strength wind has against lightning. On the other hand, this can stop A-rank and below fire from going into the clouds or coming down from the clouds. When coming into contact with other wind, the coat stands equal to it and is able to defend from S-Rank and below wind techniques attempting to go into the clouds or come out. Other than reacting to other energies, the coat has no sort of offensive capabilities, being present only for the sole reason of being a line of defense for clouds so they won't be dispersed in a time of need.

☆ Taught by Shady
☆ Usable 3×
☆ Lasts 3 turns with 1 turn cool down between activations
☆ No wind techniques above A-rank the rest of the turn
(Kyōkai Kekkai no Jutsu) - Boundary Barrier Technique
Rank: A-Rank
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 30 (-10 per turn remaining active)
Damage points: N/A
Description: This is a detection type barrier which is simply a more advanced version of the (Kekkai: Tengai Hojin) - Barrier: Dome Method Formation technique and that can be used to surround an area and allows the user to monitor a certain area covering from the sky to underneath the ground creating a sphere. The user will create a tag with the 許可 (Kyoka) Kanji and place it on the ground, doing the confrontation hand seal afterwards to activate it. After the barrier is erected, the user, if inside it, will be able to detect any enemy inside it, even if he hiding his presence. After that, anyone who enters or leaves the barrier is instantly detected as well as anything that moves inside it. Techniques that mask the users presence are ineffective at avoiding detection as the barrier focuses on movement and displacement of matter, not solely on chakra detection. The barrier can also be moved according to the requirements of the user by moving the tag.
Note: Can only be used twice.

Asura at the Land of the Mountains and he would begin to move towards the mining area. His objective is simple, find out what's happening and neutralise it. Asura had been given a task by the Mining Venture who promised him a reward if he could help them out as their business is on the verge of collapse if the so called misconduct continues. As part of the information given, he was also told that the company has machines working for them and whoever controls the machine could be the perpetrator behind the ordeal. However, little did Asura know that they aren't actual machines.

The upper part of the mines is quite empty so Asura begins to move deep into the mines. Upon getting to the core of the mine, Asura looks out for machines but he could find none. He would be alerted to a sound behind him, looking behind, he would be greeted by a downward punch from an oddly large and grotesquely shaped stone figure. Flipping away and backwards, evading the punch, Asura would hear another in his new position. That's two of them. The golem also tried punching Asura and Asura evaded. He wondered if they are the machines the company talked about and why are they attacking him?

There is no time to ponder, they continue towards him, continuing their assault. They were soon joined by two others. Quite annoying but something drops into Asura's mind. The moving stones are not human no are they machines, meaning they probably are controlled with chakra. He would activate his chakra sensory while parrying every assault, first to confirm his theory and then to trace the chakra. The puppeteer should not be far from his puppets. Soon enough, Asura would pinpoint the controller and now he's free to destroy the golems. With a burst, lightning bolts would destroy all four golems. Asura would then quickly move, tracing the chakra after the cuplrit who'll now be running, trying to escape being seen. Asura's superior speed would make him catch up and with a sharp blow to the back of the head, he would knock him out. Asura would then hand him over to the security who'll take him away for proper justice.

Having completed his task Asura begins to walk away from the mines, fading into the horizon.

The caravan had finally reached its destination, the Haze Village. They delivered the gold and Nicholas brought the bandit leader to the proper authorities. But there was little time for relaxation, as his successful escort of the caravan opened up more opportunity. A local mining operation had recently been beset upon by a horde of stone golems.

Mission Name: Odd Ore D'oeuvre
Rank: C
Location: Land of Mountains
Type: Individual
Description: As part of an avant-garde mining venture, a golem platoon was made to go about the full gathering process.. Profits were up.. and ninja tools requiring the ore were being mass-produced when, lo and behold, that entire golem group began to act most erratically on the job. You'll need to take out the golems, as they're assimilating their ore harvests. After that, you'll need to figure out who's responsible for this and then send it up the chain of command.
Four golems, and each is treated as a D-rank Earth construct.

This mission promised to be more simple than the previous. The two day journey through harsh sands while beset upon by bandits had proven to be exhausting, but opportunity does not wait for the weary. Nicholas let out a healthy yawn as they approached the mining site. The company had made use of several stone golems which had improved the operation's efficiency almost tenfold. Without warning the golems had turned on the company and had been causing chaos across the site. Nicholas was brought in to quell the golem rebellion and uncover why they had become corrupted.

Are you sure you're up for this? You look tired.

I'll -yawn- be okay. I'll be in and out and off to bed before you can say go.

The mining site consisted of a large excavated pit that reached down twenty of so meters. At the base of the pit the four golems meandered aimlessly, breaking the occasional piece of equipment or chowing down on the desired ore. Nicholas had no time to waste and so he bounded down into the pit to confront them.

Hoho! Looks like you boys have been awfully naughty. The only ore you deserve is coal.

The golems didn't quite understand what he was saying of course, but Nicholas didn't care. He was quite tired and starting to become slightly delusional. The nearest golem roared and charged towards Nicholas, its large size casting an ominous shadow over him as it neared. Nicholas focused wind chakra to his right hand and then swiped towards the golem. A gust of slicing wind tore into the stone creature and carved it apart, letting it fall as chunks to the ground.

Description: The user unleashes a wave of wind that slashes at the opponent by swinging their hand or hands.

The ruckus attracted the attention of the remaining three golems with two coming at Nicholas together. He clapped his hands together and gathered the air in front of him into four modestly sized tornadoes. He guided two each at the rampaging golems where the wind drilled through the rock and easily destroyed two of the golems.

(Fūton: Kamikaze) - Wind Release: Divine Wind

The final golem charged through the debris of his fallen brethren and reared back to strike. Nicholas quickly clapped his hands together and brought forth a pillar of ice from below the creature. The pillar consumed the golem and froze it where it stood, preventing it from any further movement. Nicholas needed to discover where these golems went wrong, and destroying all of them might prevent that.

(Hyouton: Hyōrō no Jutsu) Ice Release: Ice Prison Technique
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: C
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user will rise up what seems like a jagged pillar of ice from the ground, encasing their opponent and freezing them in place. The user can also use this on themselves, encasing themselves in ice to defend them from jutsu. Being an ice user, however, the user will still be able to move their arms and legs fluently while in the ice.

Hmm...lets see...

Nicholas examined the frozen golem looking for anything out of the ordinary. Something caught his eye on the back of the creature, a small hole in the middle. Nicholas reached through the ice and felt inside the hole where his fingers brushed against a piece of paper. He peeled it free from the rock and revealed it to be a tag of some sort.

Ahah! Looks like we've found out culprit.

He bounded back up the pit to where the foreman and crew awaited. Whoever was behind the tag had to have had close access to the golems, he was sure that the culprit was still there. Nicholas loudly and deliberately revealed to the foreman what had transpired, and as he did so he kept a close eye on the workers in his peripheral. One seemed particularly nervous and fidgety. As soon as Nicholas held up the tag, the worker turned to walk away. Nicholas quickly flung three shuriken connected by wire at the man. They wrapped around him and the weapons dug in the the ground, binding him in place.

Wha...whats going on!? Let me go!

Nicholas calmly walked over to the worked and began to dig through his pockets. As expected, several more of the tags were found.

It appears I've found your saboteur, Mr. Foreman!

The man revealed that he had been recruited by a rival company to sabotage the golems, which had threatened to put the rival out of business. With the plot discovered and the turn cloak caught red-handed, the case had been solved and Nicholas could finally get some much needed rest. The foreman gave him his pay and Nicholas returned to the Haze Village to retire for a well earned vacation.
