Kishimoto(and his editors) really ****ed up with Neji.

Neji had the potential to be one of the best characters in Naruto, we rarely see a hyuga in action and Neji was the perfect candidate, he was the first genin in the Konoha 11 group to become a Jonin and a true genius !

Kishi wanted to kill him off in Part 1 (wtf?) in Sasuke retrieval arc but he didn't, only to let him become a USELESS character in part 2 and giving a more useless death, at least let him fight someone tough and important and get him killed , not get killed by a beast like a fodder character!!!!

I am very Disappointed.

If you are disappointed with Nejis death, then I am not sure what to say.

You are not looking into Nejis character enough, the meaning of his actions, why he was fated with a curse seal, etc.

Every aspect of Neji being in Naruto led to this moment and this moment only, it fit perfectly well with Naruto and Neji's relationship.
Instead of hating the fact Neji died, you should love the way in which he died, for that is what your fan Neji did and he wouldn't want you to hate.

He was a genius afterall, and what he did was indeed genius

he died well, the only pity is that he wasn't progressed much in shippuden. although i think that maybe it would get boring watching the same moves over and over as it's hard to progress the byakugan that much, still maybe he could have invented some new jutsu for the hyuuga and been the first branch member to have that seal removed

I am not sad that Neji died, I think he was a good choice to kill off. However I am sad that nothing interesting was done with this character since chuunin exams. Neji was a really interesting one but nothing happend and he became boring so now I dont care that he was killed.

you didn't fully understand what i was trying to say, its not his death that disappointed me , its the WAY he died, my fav character Itachi Died, i wasn't disappointed, on the contrary, it made him even more epic.

I don´t disagree with him having to die or something, it´s war after all but the way he died was rather uninspired, serving other purposes, I know, but Neji deserved a better end, in my opinion.

In a recent interview, Kishimoto-sensei stated that in his home, he had a photo of Neji pinned up against the wall in his personal office. He would often throw darts at it due to the hate Kishimoto had for Neji. He then came up with the perfect way to kill off Neji. Wooden darts.

Naruto is the star of the show,everybody else is support for Naruto,Kishi decided Neji had to go leaving the spot of Hyuga Hero to Hinata. So many people complain that no major character had yet died,well now you have your acer,Neji is dead.

I really liked his character but I think his death was fitting. People were shocked about it, it had such a huge impact on Naruto that it lead to a very important key moment in the story: NARUTO WANTED TO GIVE UP!

If that isn't a giant impact, since Naruto never gave up. Losing Neji taught him a lesson, brought him close to Hinata (someone good and important for him) and forwarded the story. It was also a way to naruto becoming a better person/hokage.

I don't think Kishi killed him because he is useless or unimportant. The result and impact of his death was way too big for that. He also picked him for being a tragic character. He decided himself and was finally free from the curse seal. He died a hero and will be remembered. There cannot be any better death. Rep at Kishi for doing it like this.

Now I want Tsunade to have a boss death, then I'm satisfied. Hope the kage thing will get more screentime.
