why didnt hashirama kill kakuzu

He tried to assassinate him. Kakuzu shouldn't even have made it out of the village yet he still lived long enough to be killed by naruto?

Kakuzu has no defined clan.


He was basically Takigakure's Ace Shinobi, and they said go kill Hashirama...this was before his Earth Grudge Fear tentacle crap...

After surviving he, instead of being praised for his bravery, was basically botch slapped across the face. He was tortured and imprisoned. With his bullshit meter going over 9,000, Kakuzu broke out and stole the Earth Grudge Fear Kinjutsu, took out the hearts of the village elders,.and straight booked it.

This is why Kakuzu only believes in money (huge betrayal and detachment from society over his 91 years of life), and its also why he is no clan member.
