Some people on NarutoBase still think Itachi is stronger than Kabuto because of Izanami. Doesnt anyone remember that if Sasuke wasnt there Itachi would have been lost for he wouldnt have enough time to activate Izanami and not to mention Sasuke saved him when he got chopped in half.

Healthy Itachi does not have that stamina to keep up with Kabuto for he'll need susanoo to escape and defend against all of Kabuto's attacks. Even if Itachi was an edo he WOULD STILL LOSE.

White Rage neutralizes Susanoo and Demon Flute would trap Itachi in a genjutsu and without Sasuke he's doomed.

Kabuto wanted Sasuke alive and was trying to make Itachi one of his pawns. He also underestimated them thinking he was invincible.

Kabuto wasn't holding back on Itachi and Itachi was. Itachi said it himself that Kabuto would use Sasuke as an advantage in that battle and he did just that. Sasuke left Itachi opened to be hit with attacks that he could easily evade. Kabuto would lose in a 1v1 with no Edo's by his side. Itachi never even used his final Susanoo.

Itachi was holding back against Kabuto. He never once used his full Susanoo or did he try or try and catch Kabuto with Amaterasu. Itachi didn't go all out but Kabuto pulled out all the stops. If Sasuke wasn't there Itachi would have been dead during THAT fight but a fight to the death Itachi wins.
