Well in his defense, Naruto had difficulty with his chakra control (sakura was a genius at that, and sasuke had the sharingan) and lost control of his consciousness when he'd exert himself too much, allowing kurama's chakra to seep out.

The fact that he was actually able to teach him new variants if the rasengan and better chakra control are success stories in and of themselves.

2. Under Tsunade's guidance Sakura....

> Become one of the best Medical ninja around.
> Became insanely and brutally strong.
> According to latest manga she also learned something so incredible that can take her to Naruto and Sasuke's league. This will probably counter summoning advantage of Naruto.(Although i seriously doubt it)

3. Under Jiraya's guidance Naruto....

> Rasengan and its big and large versions.
> The advise to stay away from Genjutsu.
> A little bump in speed and strength.
> A little knowledge about use of clones.
> Summoning.

We can see the difference....
In part 1 Naruto was far better than Sakura and Sakura was no better than a fodder ninja.
In the beginning of part 2 she became as skilled as Naruto. All those times near the begging of part 2, Naruto seemed better than Sakura because he was strong willed and had incredible chakra reserves. It was not because of his training.

MY EXPECTATIONS....

Naruto left to train with the legendary sannin Jiraya for 3 years. He should have had at least high jonnin skills when coming back.
> Jiraya should have helped Naruto to gain more control over the 9-tails power.
> Jiraya should have helped Naruto to master nature manipulation like Kakashi did and helped him create a Jutsu such as Rasenshuriken.

Its no secret that in the beginning of Part 2 Naruto was A-B level Ninja. (due to increase in power scale by Kishi)
It would have been awesome if Jiraya taught Naruto Sage Mode in the 3 years time gap. He was able to learn in the 4th year in 3 weeks time, he must be capable of learning it in the 3 years time gap.
-How cool it would have been to see Naruto use a little part of Nature energy in form of SM as a last resort against Sasuke. He would have looked like a boss.

he didn't teach him how to master nature manipulation, even when sage mode was most needed to naruto he didn't teach him i think he could teach him some of minato's jutsu but other side oro fulfil sasuke wish to be strong

but, what jiraya taught naruto i think thats enough. he taught him main important things how a shinobi should be lived even he full filled naruto's parents duty he gave him love ,he full filled his duty as grandpa he acknowledged him and that's all

Tsunade perfected Sakura's basics...

But
Jiraiya not only taught Naruto some techniques and perfected his basics, he also taught him how to learn w/o teacher and paved a way for Naruto so that he can become what he is now...

That makes him the best ever mentor so far in NV...

You act like taming Kurama is easy work for Orochimaru and Tsunade, well they would have had the same trouble as Jiraiya and the same results. Uhm no. Sasuke already had a kkg. Orochimaru simply helped him master them. Doubt Orochimaru taught Sasuke anything apart from seals and summoning. He most likely trained and developed all those chidori variations himself.
Also the three years Naruto spent with Jiraiya was focused on teaching him how to control the fox's power and mastering "that jutsu", which he couldn't. That's why it seemed like Naruto hadnt progressed after the 3 year gap. However that training is paying off now that he's mastered the fox's power.

Ehhh.... I don't know... What you're saying make sense, but remember who poorly Naruto was at the end of the first part? Jiraiya did improve Naruto a good deal. But he also had to wander around constantly, get information on both Orochimaru and Akatsuki.

That, and he also passed on his will and dream to Naruto. Their time spent together means much more than any other sannin and pupil.

Also. . Training Naruto to master the Kyuubi is a hard thing, he almost died doing it to the extent we've seen in the early parts of Shippuden. . . I'unno, I dislike thinking that Jiraiya is lower or not as good as his comrades.
