no I think Kishi wanted Nagato to lie about something like that because it's such a plot twister if Nagato lied about it. yeah. it's not possible. Nagato is a liar. duh

The sage of the six paths was known to be a creator of ninjutsu itself. Since nagato has inherited the same power, it is possible he too could create a moon when hes at full strength. I mean he did say no one has ever given pain this much trouble. At this point, i wouldn't be surprised if he took things too far, and wound up killing himself trying to win.

Yeah but this is Naruto, therefore it's a fictional story/series, so if Kishi wants the sage of six paths to create the moon then he can have it that way, I really think that sometimes people on these forums can't decifer reality from naruto.
