He didnt from what was shown, he just had a naturally eternal mangekyou sharingan.

He would need his brothers chakra for rinnegan. I wonder if he ever did that in the later years or else how did Hagoromo know.

But I doubt he did because he was extremely prideful, rightfully so as the uchiha orgin, to steal his brother's, who stole his position, chakra for power.

I hope it's a girl that brought something different out of him. Manga-wise, he died after conceiving a child, and the conception was before the susccessor was determined so he might have just did it because he actually liked the lady. I'm hoping.

Nah he had Mangekyo and Rikudou chakra, although it's possible since he was the first Sharingan user his eye feats were closer to Kaguya's level. He wouldn't be considered to have the Sage's eye power unless his abilities were at the Otsutsuki level.

Zetsu stated that only Madara and Hagoromo were true Rinnegan wielders and I believe we're told that Nagato is the 3rd of the Six Paths as well. It also requires Ashura's chakra along with Indra's to create the Rinnegan, so no, Indra never had one.
