I´m talking about how there is no such thing as someone risking their lives for another.

I understand the basic concept of "you don´t die for your friends, you live for them" but seeing how no one ever dies or no sacrifice ever occurs, that is too idealistic and it takes some of the maturity away from fairy tail.

People say how naruto is too idealistic with how he wants to save everyone and achieve world peace but i would have to say that fairy tail is definitely up there, not on narutos level but it´s up there.

What do you think about this?

It´s as good as naruto if not better, don´t let the name fool you.
its funny you say that cuz thats the main reason why i havent looked into it is because of the name, forgive me for being a stereotypical male but a name like fairy tail doesn't quite attract me. however if thats the only thing thats sketchy about it im gonna look into it ^.^ thanks.

lol people died in Fairy Tail. it's just they were not main characters. also it's not Naruto to compare them. they are mages not ninjas to kill the others.

I was thinking the same but when i saw Simon throwing his body in front of Jellal's Altairis spell, sacrificing himself so that Erza would not be hit...he was risking his life and died, but there could be more scenes like that...

Same happened when Lyon pushed Racer off a cliff and risked his life to save Sherry and Gray...i am glad that he survived.

Never judge a book by its cover and your welcome!:D

I´m also glad that Lyon survived but Racer ended up dying, what´s up with that?
They were both in the same situation.

I know about simon but he wasn´t a main character + we didn´t get to know much from him
and he was only introduced in one arc where he suddently shifted from bad to good guy.

He never had much signifigance as a character IMO.
for once u finally state something plausible
Why don´t you for once state something that isn´t trolling, negative, criticising and insulting?

In the anime, we see that Lyon saved Racer, but in the manga he died. (i am kinda confused :S)

I dont have something big to counter it, but in my opinion i think that Racer was caught in the explosion (of course the lacrima was on him) so Lyon didnt got big damage.

That is true about Simon, but the creator of FT wouldnt let a main char die like Erza (mmm i love Titania) or someone else.

I know, i wouldn´t either but the Makarov thing was a little immature, when he was prepared to die for his guild but they just wouldn´t let him and they would all die together if not for Mavis.
