But Obito explain that Izanagi is actually a lesser version of COAT. And on top of that COAT doesn't cost you an eye unlike Izanagi.

So considering this can Hagoromo use COAT/Izanagi infinite amount of times without any drawback expect the chakra it consumes ? If the answer is yes, how come he was so afraid of mommy ?

Izanagi is a Sharingan Kinjutsu. It is simply derived from COAT because it manipulates reality due to Yin-Yang release. Hagoromo never actually had Izanagi nor could he logically use it without a Sharingan. COAT was used for creation purposes.

COAT and Izanagi aren't the same thing. Izanagi is a kinjutsu based on COAT, it is unknown whether hogoromo can even use izanagi, seeing as he doesn't even have a sharingan.

Saying hogoromo can use izanagi is like saying he can use nara and akimichi jutsu as they are based on in'yoton which the sage has

Most likely the reason he was scared of his mother is because she has a larger scale of chakra compared to hagoromo plus the rinnen-sharingan who's full ability was never stated.

problem is we never saw full extent of hagoromo`s power

Many things are implied in that page, but what I got from it is that the sage originally used Izanagi to create.
We already know that he created the bijuus with Creations of all things, but it's also implied that he created many things before hand.

How can Hagoromoo use Izanagi if he has no sharingan?

A technique like this is expected from Indra at least.
