As the ship began to approach the docks, a small shiver could be felt down V’s back. The sudden change in climate was no surprise. She had heard that Minion was known for such conditions. Although her companion had spent quite a bit of money, she knew it wouldn’t exactly be an issue to pick up something for her specifically.

As they began to approach Francis Square, V’s eyes shifted about to the merchants eager to gain their wage for the day. She paused for a moment and began to approach a kindly woman waving in her direction.

“Good day deary. Care to take a look at a few of my foreign wares? I have many things from far off places more than suitable for situations in which you may encounter.”

She settled upon the table looking at the various items. Her eyes settled on a few dials. She had experienced some of the capabilities of these little devices but hadn’t acquired one herself. She began to lift one out of curiosity.

“Ahh you have quite the eye for quality young lady. That is a Milky Dial. Capable of creating clouds so aerodynamic that they can sore through the air with ease. And I bet some clever youngsters like yourself could make quite a bit of interesting efforts with it.”

V smiled a bit turning her head towards Guts. “I bet this would be pretty interesting on my Clima-Tact. I’ve been considering getting something to make my own ammunition. Think you can help me out with it and take a look at it later?”

Guts looked at Saratoga as she picked up a dial from one of the shops, they had just landed on an island and one of the first things they did was visit the merchants.

"You sure you want this? i never saw much use for a milky dial, well whatever its for you anyways"

Taking out a few coins guts would slide them over to the merchant in question, buying the milky and breadth dials.

"These things better be worth it, they cost a fortune"

Ghost Town

A few words were spoken between Evelyn and Rudeus as they made their way through the dense forest. The grogginess which clouded Rudeus from the early morning had now evaporated. Both of them silently progressed towards the Ghost Town, checking their rear and sides every few meters. Both acted like an autonomously coherent unit; if any verbal communication arose, it was quickened and succinct.

From what Rudeus had heard back on Draque, the Ghost town itself was highly isolated, sitting at the bottom of Mt. Silver. No local approached its vicinity due to people either never returning or coming back in pieces. The island had promptly called for assistance from the Marines soon after. Rudeus had volunteered himself and Evelyn to take on the mission, and it was an excellent opportunity for him to fully deliver his sense of justice without anyone to hinder him. Nevertheless, what caught his attention was the rumors about an ancient technique scroll buried in that town. He wanted to see what that scroll held, to train, not himself but Evelyn too.

"Rudeus, this is it. We are here," spoke Evelyn softly as she peered behind a tree to scout the barren town up ahead. The rumors were true; the buildings had been knocked over, destroyed, and collapsed. Debris still littered the ground; streets and where things used to stand were nearly indistinguishable from the utter devastation wrought upon the area. However, some structures were built on top of the devastated area with the debris to fortify themselves. Albeit said structures were mainly piles of scraps of metal formed into living houses which the likes of Rudeus could easily topple over.

Sneaking into the middle of the town, Rudeus enacted his plan, and he smashed a few of the buildings to draw the Pirates out.

Ghost Town
Kenichi descended the Silver Alps hands in pockets with his jacket closed for once, covering his sculptured body. He enjoyed the hot cocoa and heated areas the resort provided, but after gathering enough information from its local residents, the Fishman was on route to the Northern part of the island.

Lead by his own will the Lieutenant endeavored to research the ancient civilization of the island. His curiosity peaking from the many rumors spread abroad. Trotting through the snow covered ground, Kenichi's tall blue body made its way closer and closer to the renown "Ghost Town". His thoughts focused on the unimaginable hearsay collected through time. Some spoke of apparitions appearing at night. Others talked about witnessing demons with special powers. For the most part Kenichi was able to separate fiction from nonfiction, but this did not stop the lieutenant's mind from wondering. His body shook, but who knew if it was due to the chilly weather, or his dreadful thoughts.

Entering the town everything seemed fine as far as the eyes could see. Aside from the abandoned buildings and decayed structures, there was nothing out of the usual befitting the proclaimed Ghost Town. That was until the Fishman heard a large noise emanating from a point further ahead. Causing a slight startling response before one of action occurred. Running towards the source Kenichi would arrive spotting a man and woman on the scene, both dressed in Marine-like attire.

"Lieutenant Kenichi Shinoda! Who the hell you guys!?"

Ghost Town

A curious figure approached Rudeus and Evelyn; the man eagerly announced himself as Lieutenant. His name wasn't familiar to Rudeus, and Evelyn appeared not to know him as well. But regardless of that, the man was a Marine, and both of them would dutifully accept him into their unit.

"Name is Evelyn Kuhnrath, and this here is Lieutenant Rudeus Wright. We are here to subjugate the pirates and return this Ghost Town into a Lively Town, " smirked the young woman, proud of her little expression in the sentence.

Rudeus snickered, "Good jokes there, Evelyn. But yes, I'm here to rid these pirates effectively. One second," Rudeus quickly transformed into his hybrid phoenix form and put sliced a pillar of a building.

The stones cracked and splintered as Rudeus' talons dug into the pillars holding up a building, and it subsequently crumbled under pressure as Rudeus pulled back, ripping the stonework from its foundation to wield the pillar-like club. He swung the massive weapon at the remnants of the other structures, sending shattered debris all over the town as the buildings toppled under the impact of Rudeus' assault. The dust settled, and shouting and screaming ensued from the inhabitants inside.

"What about you? What are you here for? I could probably use the extra manpower to handle these criminals that'll be coming out here soon, " shouted Rudeus speaking over the rumbling of buildings collapsing on one another. As he finished speaking, roars of angry men and shuffling of weapons began to muffle the noise of the debris settling.

Hearing the human woman talk proudly about the dou's attempt to restore Ghost Town caused Kenichi to smirk. It was a noble yet foolish feat to try to attempt, after all, the pirates that hid out in these parts weren't the one to blame for the town's absence of people, but its location in which was prone to avalanches. The Lieutenant's comments that followed afterwards hinted towards humor on behalf of the woman, but Kenichi didn't know whether to take the two serious or not.

Then after being asked for a moment Kenichi would witness the same man transform into a majestic blue, winged creature. Was this man the Savior of Kano he heard so much about when he was stationed on that island!? It just had to be! The Fishman was amazed by the sight before him. An amazement that quickly shifted to bewilderment, seeing the man destroy what was left of the town's prior existence. This reminded Kenichi why he loathed the human race. The only way they knew to solve a problem was through destruction. Such a pitiful sight to behold. Trying to hide his agitation, the Fishman would respond to his counterpart with a little malice in his heart.

"I'm here to research the ancient civilizations that once dwelt within Mt. Silver. As for these petty criminals!? I don't get paid enough for them to be my problem, although, I'm sure this band of hoodlums wouldn't be a problem for the mighty man of Kano!? Nevertheless, I got your back Lieutenant!" Kenichi ended with a devious smile, folding his arms as the sound of angry men approaching grew louder.

NPC Response: The Raid Pirates
Emerging from the chaos of the marine’s bombardment, the Captain of the Raid Pirates was John B. Raid. A rookie pirate making noise in the North Blue, this pirate had only managed to secure a crew of fifty loyal men and some decent artillery. Known for their explosive arsenal, rumors spread that the Raid Pirate Crew was capable of leveling towns with their massive cannon fire. Captain Raid would approach the marines and announce their deaths was on the eve of the hour, smiling wickedly as his crew backed him with portable hand cannons attacked to every single one. [ Captain Raid and his Crew Preemptively Spend One [1] Block Card ]

Plot Battle Commences

Captain Raid Possess the Archer Archetype: the Attribute Layout - PWR: 2 | INT: 3 | CON: 2 | AGL: 6 | DEX: 8 | TEQ: 0. The Maximum Amount of Damage the Platoon Can Cause is the Standard Ten [10] Points ( Not Excluding Possible Bonuses ), However this Requires at Least Ten [10] NPCs of the Platoon to be Conscious. Kenichi eyed the pirate and the men that stood behind him. His excitement building within as his mind wondered. Where these the demons of Ghost Town!? He pondered within his mind in regards to the rumors he had heard while in the Silver Apps, causing the fishman to grimacingly smile in response to the threat made. Regardless of what their weaponry could do, Kenichi had yet to face a human who has placed fear within his heart, prompting the marine to swiftly react before his slower counterparts.

Tensing the muscles in his right arm the fishman positions his arm by his waist side, fist facing upwards, before thrusting said arm forwards while twisting it resulting in a forwards punch being thrown. From that punch a large shockwave is shot forwards at high speeds aimed at the pirate who took charge ,Kenichi hoping to show the man a little bit of what he was up against. He would then stand ready to react to their response.

As the pirates finally came out of their hiding, Rudeus and Evelyn jumped into their battle hardened expressions by activating the Soru Technique. The activation would entail them keeping aware of their surroundings to dodge in if confronted by an enemy. Meanwhile, Rudeus adopted his stoic facial expression which reflected no emotion at all while Evelyn seemed a bit anxious as battles weren’t her forte. However, no matter what both of the Marines felt or thought about, they were aware that the enemy needed to be quelled. No pulling punches.

Quickly, moving at high speeds near the ground, Rudeus would propel towards the direction of the apparent leader of the crew, a man standing at the utmost front while others lingered behind him. While flying towards the enemy, Rudeus would approach the enemy captain from his right, but would intend remain out of his ally’s attack range to not get caught when the fishman launched an attack. If and when the fishman finshed attacking, Rudeus would close upon the enemy and deliver a Shigan with a kick out with his talons to the Captain’s chest. Simultaneously, Evelyn would be running towards the Captain’s left side, and she would also remain clear of the fishman’s attack. Upon reaching 10 meters from the gang of Pirates, instead of attacking the captain, Evelyn would attack with a kick sending forth a pressurized air slash towards the group of lackeys exclusively.

NPC Response: The Raid Pirates
As the marines sprang into action, Captain Raid would scream for his crew to look alive. Responding to the fishman and the fiery bird, Captain Raid shouted that those two fishes were his targets and for the crew to take care of the little girl. He would even begin to whistle at the sheer speed of the fiery bird, but laughed with glee because of his incredible eyesight. He could track the movements of the bird due to his sharp shooting ability. Nobody on this field could escape his vision, the pirate felt. [ Captain Raid Spent One [1] Attack and Block Card ]

Raising both of his arms, which were attached at the wrist with hand cannons, the pirate shot two cannonballs. One clashed with the fishman’s attack, neutralizing it and the other targeted the bird itself. When the clash occurred, massive explosions shocked the baron terrain. The fiery bird would be sent back, critically injured which caused the lunatic pirate to laugh chaotically. The pirate crew would follow suit and target Evelyn, but unfortunately missing. Round One scored in the pirates’ victory. [ Raid Pirates Spent One [1] Attack and Block Card ]

Kenichi grimaced with a sour face in response to seeing his comrade take a hit by the captain's explosive rounds. It was impossible to know that these pirates dealt with such a level of ammunition, regardless, even a fool wouldn't charge a man holding a gun with his bare fist. The fishman thought to himself as he further questioned the basic capabilities of humans. Unlike his fellow Lieutenant Kenichi would dodge the pirate's explosive attack with ease, swiftly moving out of the way.

(This might be a little more difficult than expected....) The Combat-Don thought to himself while pondering over the various scenarios he could undertake while facing off with a marksman. Needing more time to gauge his foe the fishman followed suit by sending out yet another projectile at the captain while keeping his distance.

Rudeus was knocked back nearly senseless by the explosive that connected with him. He had miscalculated his ability to close in onto the opponent and the Pirate Captain made him pay for it. The enemy's maniac laugh jolted Rudeus back to his feet. Promptly, the Phoenix used his Blue Flames of Resurrection to heal some of the damage dealt to him. Then, Rudeus retreated back from the enemy, staying vigilant to not to get hit once again.

"Fishman, I may need a hand over here, " joked Rudeus.

Meanwhile, Evelyn, upon seeing her first attack landing on the enemy pirates, would ignite her spirits. She was eager to put in more effort and power to subdue these pirates however she was hesitant to launch another attack, especially with her allies’ previous attacks not doing anything. She wanted to see if what the pirates would do first thus maintained Soru and readied herself to potentially evade attacks.

NPC Response: The Raid Pirates
Captain Raid witnessed the fiery bird rise once more which was truly shocking. Nobody in his past had survived a direct encounter with one of his explosive, let alone rise back up to continue fighting. He began to curse the marines, calling them monsters themselves. Captain Raid would then whistle once more, informing his crew to keep up the fire power to oppress their opponent. Much like any fight, the Raid Pirates goal was to pick their enemies off one by one with their massive bombardment of explosives. [ Captain Raid Spent One [1] Attack and Block Card ]

The captain himself would take another shot at the fishman while shouting about how there was still time to escape. The Raid Pirates would immediately begin to fire upon the woman despite how fast she was moving. Her incredible amount of speed was enough to dodge the cannon fire on impact, but the scaling of the explosions was enough to consume the marine with massive force. Dying, Evelyn would needed medical attention immediately. [ Raid Pirates Spent One [1] Attack and Block Card ]

The fishman winced as he continued to barely get pass the explosive cannonballs dealt by the captain. These humans had guts, and worked well together when it came to issuing their attacks against the trio. This caused Kenichi to come to the realization that if he messed up he would face his own demise. Observing the battlefield he would witness the woman marine getting caught up in an explosion that gravely wounded her, causing the fishman's expression to further deepen. (This isn't good!) He thought to himself upon quickly meditating on the situation at hand.

Swinging forth a punch, Kenichi would release a specialized shockwave towards Captain Raid with the intent to topple him over a ways back, knocking him off balance. The fishman hoped the captain defended as usual, shooting a cannonball forwards, thinking his projectile would push his enemies own back at him.

Upon witnessing Evelyn catching the full blunt force of explosions from the enemy, Rudeus was beyond distraught. He had promised himself and to her that he would lead both of them to success without injury and her again, he failed. Evelyn was near death and Rudeus was left in a precarious situation, it was either to save his ally or defend against the enemy who wouldn't halt his attacks.

Ultimately, Rudeus would choose to postpone healing Evelyn. Once again, the man would befall to the pretense of choosing to secure the success of the mission rather than the lives of his comrades. Therefore breaking the promise he had made with Evelyn on Marineford. It was gut wrentching decision but Rudeus realized if he didn't respond to the enemy's attacks, everyone would die.

Whilst standing at his current position away from the enemies, Rudeus would conjour up a singular fireball which he would aim towards the Captain at a trajectory, he would also maintain his distance of 13 meters from Captain Raid to potentially evade any attacks from him. He would then launch another fireball, this time aiming it directly towards the feet of Captain Raid.

NPC Response: The Raid Pirates

[/Center]After further evaluation, there was a massive error on the Staff ( Mant )’s behave. The round that involved Rudeus flying up and attacking should have gone through. The marine’s attack was performed after closing the distance, therefore Sixteen [16] Damage would have been inflicted upon Captain Raid. To not consume much of your time any longer, I will state that the crew would have lost their morale and surrendered. The Marines have secured the victory.

"Sigh. Why did Gojo send me here?" Yuta sat slumped over a desk, letting out an exasperated sigh; he hated the snowy climate of Minion Island and had just spent two hours looking for his katana to no avail. Simply getting to the G8 base was an arduous endeavour. Yuta knew why Gojo sent him here; the situation was plastered all over the newspaper. A massacre had just occurred. Typically Yuta was meek and timid, but when innocent people were being harmed, he couldn't just stand by. That's how Gojo got him to join the Marines, the promise that Yuta's abilities could help. "The Arcane pirates, what an unforgivable group." The thought of them going from island to island and massacring the people sickened him. They were a heinous and vile group that needed to be brought down. Yuta's fists clutched as the thought of them terrorizing the seas got him more worked up.

This situation was perfect for him. Even though he hated the environment, he was impervious to the adverse effects that most extreme climates that his peers were suspectable to, giving him an advantage."I can't do anything without my blade." With his resolve steeled, even more, Yuta re-started his search for his blade.
