Dude wood golem is designed with PS in mind. Its made to counter PS and in that fight the PS won from my perspective. You're taking this too literal. He really can cut all things, the golem consists of mokuton and the PS has sliced through mokuton before.

Someone's said it before, but I'll say it as well. It can smash anything in creation. Aka, there is no known substance that won't shatter from its slash, whether it be diamond, long grass sword, or Hashirama's wood style, and considering it's never failed to do so yet, it actually wasn't hyperbole. The only thing that's hit a PS sword head on and had not been cut through was Naruto's Kurama avatar tail with 6 paths senjutsu. Even Hashirama's true several thousand hands statue enhanced by senjutsu was getting cut up before the TBBs exploded.
