Just a quick questions guys please reply to those who watched it.

Do you have to watch any of the previous batman movies to watch it?
You should watch Batman Begins if you want to know the role played by the League of Shadows and Ra's Al Ghul in developing Batman. And the jokes shared between Bruce and Lucius Fox are inside jokes from Begins. The Joker is almost non-existent here, but you should watch TDK to know how the Dent Act came about. Also, there's a very important character in Bruce's life, Rachel Dawes, she died in TDK. And the action sequences in TDK are better than TDKR, in my opinion. You know what, just watch the whole trilogy if you have the time (before you say TDKR is the best movie ever).

@Rookie. Love the critiques. Cant agree u more.

To be honest, how the heck did Bruce survived at the end? Okay, he got his auto-pilot activated and jumped down? If you try to recall, at the scene where Batman was sacrificing himself .. You will realized that the camera has shown the bomb's countdown has reached 00:05? 5 seconds left huh? And yet the camera later shown Batman close-up face, seeing some tears in his eyes behind the mask. Come on? 5 sec and you still there on the seat? Okay maybe he jumped down afterwards? Can he even survived the blast? The blast that has almost the same power like nuclear which can wipe off an entire city? How he escaped from the radius? Even if he made it to the sea, he probably got hit no? The bomb might exploded on air, but it still reaches the sea's surface and some part underneath it? Lastly, maybe we all just assumed Batman made it to the bottom of the sea and survived the blast. Now how the heck he able to swim back to shore? o_o

Anyway, I watched it twice. The first time i didnt actually realize the illogical parts like the ends. But what i realized that on the second time I watch, the movie is dragging and the actions didnt really play much. Though, i agreed that almost all the scenes in the movie is important and it has links to another part of the film. But im sure it will be nicer if the movie was like TDK where frequent actions are awesome.

Overall, the movie is Good. or rather Great. So far, which comic movie recently has kicked this movie some ass? Instead, this movie is the one who kicked other comic movies some ass. The amazing spidey was not that great. Avengers too yea. Capt America was a failure. And TDKR in fact is a great movie in 2012 so far. No exception on that.

I think Nolan was playing with the editing just to **** with us. I think Batman could've jumped off when he blew up the building (the smoke would've made good cover) or by the cliffs by the beach. What is unbelievable is he made it far enough in 1 minute. Dude, it's not a jet, it's a hovercraft!

Some guy on the internetz said Nolan should've just showed us Alfred at the cafe, looking up and then just smiling. End. Then it would be ambiguous. Did Bruce survive or not? Just like the ending of Inception. But of course, this is a movie for the retarded fanboys, those excited over the hype of TDK but never really saw TDK in it's entirety (I know a lot of people who said they only watched part of TDK). I felt Nolan was sort of holding our hands the hold time in TDKR. He had to explain everything. And somehow his explanations was bad. Like parents trying to explain the idea of God. Like I said, chewing off more than they could bite.

I saw TDKR the first time in a normal screening, then a second time in IMAX. IMAX was good (though I think it doesn't justify costing twice the normal ticket price (I'd be happy to pay 1.5 times the normal price), but it was harder to sit through the movie this time. Yes! It's overly long! And the action didn't make much sense. How did it turn from evening to pitch black in 8 minutes? Why couldn't Foley send a squad to chase down Bane? Did he really need everyone to go after the Batman? Gotham police sucks. Why did Batman have to park his flying car to go have a fist fight with Bane? Why didn't he just shoot Bane? (OK2, no guns, bullshit) Why didn't he blow up the other Tumblers? Why are the weapons on the Bat-cycle more powerful than the Tumblers? And does the Bat-cycle have unlimited ammo?

If you want to say TDKR is the best movie of the year so far, I'm ok with that. I haven't seen any super great movies this year (Prometheus was a let down too). But when I hear other people saying it's the best movie ever?? Seriously? How old are you? 16? 14? How many good movies have you seen?

I saw this movie on Sunday and too be honest I was disappointed with it, it wasn't nearly as good as The Dark Knight in any aspect. To me the movie that walked away with Best Movie of the month, is Spider-Man I just felt the new Spider was better than the conclusion of the Nolan Bat :/ you could tell throughout at least 65% of the movie that Nolan just wanted to end it and wanted it to be over with.

Bane - Great character, Great villain, main thing I didn't like was how they didn't even bother to hint at what is actually making him so strong (strong enough to break through Bat's cowl, picking up above his head and breaking the Bat's back with extreme ease) The drug that makes him so strong is called "Venom" now I can understand that they couldn't exactly come out with it due to copyright infringements from the fail of a movie Spider-Man 3. But at least you could hint at the damn thing.

Talia - FAIL FAIL FAIL! Sorry but I am a comic man in this aspect Talia wasn't near hot enough to be Talia, that and it was painfully obvious who the hell she was after she screwed Bruce (literally). I liked how they kept to a minor degree of how Talia is in love with Bruce, she has always loved him, not because of who he is but what he does. Oh and after taking a look at all the actresses that went for the role of Talia, I have to say the best choice they could have made would have been casting Naomi Watts as Talia instead of who they had.

John "Robin" Blake - Someone please give me something to beat this guy with now, he takes over the guise of BATMAN!? Fuck that shit 3 ways from Sunday. I actually hated this character tbh. Not only because he called Bruce's bluff and Bruce didn't even bother denying it, but mainly because this kid sucks, he is not anything like Batman therefore doesn't deserve to take on the mantel!

The Ending - I despised the ending in nearly every aspect I mean seriously, Bruce killing Batman, Blake becoming the new Batman, Bruce's mansion becoming a safe house for orphaned boys (well that was decent), but then the fan service Bruce ending up with Selina, that was a service to the fans seeing as many fans believe Bruce belongs with Selina.

Now I am not gonna hate on Anne Hathaway's Catwoman, >_> she saved the movie in my honest opinion. She just looked damn good in leather lol. That and she was quite possibly the best Catwoman we have ever had lol.

But overall I would have to give this movie either a 6.5 or 7 out of 10, it was good, but not great. The Dark Knight was vastly superior in my opinion

Nice. I think to Nolan's credit, he didn't want to do TDKR in the first place. So it's hard to blame him. But when he took it up anyway, no way there wouldn't be expectations. Is this a sign that Nolan is starting to sell out to the studios? Sigh.

And you reminded me about something, Bruce Wayne being poor? That's not Bruce Wayne at all. Also, I think TDKR's ending opens up the chance of there being a Batman Beyond movie. But how can you have that if Bruce Wayne is poor?

And yes, I liked the new Spider-Man more.

I also agree that Anne Hathaway was a good Catwoman, but I just felt her romance with Bruce was forced.

Well in all fairness for Nolan, due to his mass suckess, DC wants him to direct a lot of their movies seeing as DC comics has more of the darker characters in retrospect to Marvel's characters, who have a semi-dark past. So it has to be a hassle for him in general considering that I think they started the filming for the Man of Steel while he was still working on Dark Knight Rises thus making it more difficult on him.

Yeah that part was such blassphemy I opted to ignore it, considering that Bruce is the richest man in all of DC comics, only other comic book character that can Rival Bruce's wealth is Tony Stark.

But that would be interesting to see if they did a Batman Beyond live action movie but would also piss alot of fans off seeing as there are more deserving characters for a movie, such as **** Grayson (Nightwing), Jason Todd (Red Hood), Barry Allen or Wally West (The Flash), Wonder Woman (though I heard they got Kate Beckinsale for this role), and even Aquaman (the last three are all part of the founders of the JLA. (Which is also being planned out so they can rival Marvel with the Avengers)

And yes, I liked the new Spider-Man more.
Well I think the major reason the New Spider was more of a success than the conclusion of the Nolan Bat was being we were seeing something fresh (as far as a reboot goes) as compared to something that had to live up to the mass success of its predacessor of the Dark Knight with amazing acting from both Christian Bale and the late Heathe Ledger. (reason why Joker was never mentioned in the newest movie)

I also agree that Anne Hathaway was a good Catwoman, but I just felt her romance with Bruce was forced.
Well Catwoman kinda of always forced herself onto Bruce/Batman in the first place so that sort of fit in. But the casting auditions they had for this movie were all amazing and hot actresses lol (Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, and if I remmeber right Ashley Greene)

Mass suckess? You mean suckers? Or do you mean suckness?

Saw the teaser trailer for Man of Steel, it looked hopeful. But why did they have to reboot Superman? Superman Returns was good...

Batman Beyond, Nightwing, whatever. As long as it's not a Robin movie.

The thing about leaving Bruce alive is, you can't expect him to sit quiet in Paris. Not after he sacrificed so much for Gotham. Again, killing him for good would've left a bigger emotional impact. In Catwoman's heart, he will always be the guy she could've ****ed (but didn't). Lol. But I guess the squeamish can't take it.

I guess you're right. But it just doesn't feel like how Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne would act. I don't know. :/

I'm going to have to say I expected more from it, kinda slow in the beginning and in the middle. but all the batman scenes were awesome!. I loved catwoman, ann did a great job for her first real action roll. and bane was very cool, minus not being able to understand him still tho great job by all parties. It was a great masterpiece film oscar worthy even. better then spiderman, no where close to the avengers

So Avengers deserves an Oscar too? This is why I stopped watching the Oscars many years ago.

Oscars for every superhero movie!

I think I found the biggest plot hole yet. Why didn't they just blow up Gotham? Earlier on, Bane and his army said, "anyone so as dare to step foot on Gotham, we'll blow it." But when it was clear the Batman has return (he bloody made a huge Batman fire logo), why didn't they just detonate the bomb? What is more important here? Blowing up Gotham or having a fight with Batman?

I wasn't too thrilled about it. I like Bane alot better the way he was portrayed in the animated series. I even prefer the retarded Bane more from the "Batman and Robin" movie. I felt like I was watching a Hannibal Lecter/Darth Vader on steriods. I didn't care too much about the new catwoman either. Michiell Pfeiffer was infinitly better. And omg why the f*ck does Batman talk like that? I know he's trying to hide his identity and all but damn he sounds like wearing his costume gives him throat cancer. People complain about not understanding Bane but I can't understand what Batman is growling about half the time.
