too vague...which Sasuke are we talking about...if its Hebi or Taka Sasuke then no....even if he had info like Nruto had with Katsuyu..Sasuke doesn't have raw power to push pain beyond 3 or 4 paths....his MS was new and taxing on his body...also nothing in Sasuke's arsenal equals the raw power of 6 tail Naruto so i would give this in Pain's favour...Now if we are talking about EMS Sasuke we saw in war arc then his chances increase greatly as he has perfected his Susano and can hold it for larger period of time

in a normal fight, pain spanks.

if its the same situation as naruto where deva is restricted and sasuke has intel and massive support in the form of snake summons? then it can go either way at the very least before deva returns. amaterasu on animal path from the start prevents any summons.intel on preta means he isnt going to go at it with ninjutsu, kenjutsu wrecks it, the rest have nothing to take down soosano so they get mauled. now if sasuke can take out deva before its power returns, then he has a chance if not, CT ends him.

Well as in my understanding Sasuke perfected his MS after this arc..in this arc he was still finding out his limitations and he was heavily dependent on Karin for restoring his health and chakra....now i am putting his taijutsu equivalent to pain because his precog is same as sensing for SM Naruto also pains shared vision sort of balances it..considering the same limitations apply to pain as it did when he fought Naruto...Sasuke will have to be heavily dependent on his kenjutsu plus chidori tech..i am guessing he will go as far as Preta and deva remain to the point Naruto was captured by Preta......since Preta was defeated due to overabsorption of senjutsu chakra and pure Frog kata once again courtesy of senjutsu Sasuke will probably struggle a lot....if we are pitching against full powered Pain then Sasuke has no chance....he simply can not escape from Chibaku tensei nor he can withstand shinra tensei given the fact that his control over his Susanoo was poor

Agreed but I don't think he gets passed all the summons since his chakra reserves were too low to consistently use susanoo and enton

yep but i am giving him a bit of leeway that he can summon snakes to engage the larger summons while he takes out animal path...but you are very correct in assuming that he would probably be taken out before he takes out other paths

Why people think Sasuke should fight like Naruto and try to kill one Pain at time ? If Sasuke has intel about Pein, he would simply activate his Susssano, and snap them directly. With the deva path cool down he can kill them all in short time.

Aside from overuse of Mangekyou which tires him so quickly, Mangekyou doesn't have what it takes to defeat the Rinnegan. MS Sasuke has a stamina of 10 minutes, approximately equal to Danzo's Izanagi. Naruto lasted much longer than that against a restricted Pain, with experienced support which Sasuke lacks. He isn't even lasting 10 min. Not to mention Naruto would have lost to Deva Pain, had it not been for Kurama's interference.

What techniques does he have that can threaten Pain? It's established that Ninjutsu doesn't work on Pain. It's established CQC doesn't work on Pain. Only Sound Genjutsu as powerful as the toad's does the job, and Sasuke's ocular Genjutsu's won't work on Rinnegan, if it was resistant to IT.

Susano arrows are good but again there is preta to absorb them....also i don't think at that point of time Sasuke's Susano was strong enough to take multiple attacks from summons

Just because Nagato used ST to throw away amaterasu doesn't mean Preta path wouldn't have worked too. We already saw Kaguya's absorbption technique and Madara's absorption technique deal with Amaterasu see no reason why it would be diffirent for preta.

i don't even know why people do this particular comparison.....SM Naruto was clearly stronger than MS Sasuke......they say Susano is the answer to everything that pain could have thrown at Sasuke or SM Naruto can't stand against MS Sasuke but they simply choose to ignore the feats of sheer power and subtlety that Naruto pulled off against pain...his taijutsu and sensing were simply in another league......even Shikaku admitted that any assistance from village would rather hinder his fighting
