In the Ninja World, there exist ninja and samurai, the high powered chakra fueled warriors of the world. There were also the store owners, the traveling salesman. The normal man or woman running their shops with little ninja power, these Merchants are able to benefit their ninja village they reside in by selling them various items, ranging from ramen to daggers and more. These items differ from Tools and Artifacts in different ways, explained below.
Abilities:
  • Merchants are able to produce and sell Supples that can be both beneficial and/or detrimental. Supplies are Items that can be utilized in or out of battle, and do not make use of the Official Roll System. These items cannot be technology based or enhanced by technology as these are banned from being Supplies. They are mostly consumables, though they can be items placed or held on the body. Supplies can have a varying number of perks ( 1 for D/C rank, 2 for B/A rank and up to 3 for S ), though only one of these can be a Combat Perk ( Damage/Durability Boost, Damage/Durability Debuff, Speed/Tracking Boost, Speed/Tracking Debuff )
  • The benefits of these items range logically with what it is being used. Depending on rank, the user can submit D to S rank Supplies. More information can be found in Custom Submission Rules.
  • There are four Merchant ranks, Dealer, Shop Owner, Market Owner, and Monopolist. In order to rank up, one must complete a number of missions and exchanges. Merchants require the same number of missions as their ninja counterpart to rank up. However, they also require at least 5 different exchanges with different ninja, increasing in number per rank by 5. For each rank the user advances, he becomes able to hold one more shop starting at 2.
  • Unique to Merchants, they are able to sell multiple versions of their equipment and items to up to any number of people as long as they have the stock for it. They are also capable of greater member interaction in the Ninja World, allowing them to purchase Supplies and Tools from normal ninja, making note of it in their Ryo/Kumi Transactions.
  • Should a Merchant run out of stock, he is able to repurchase stock for that item in the marketplace thread. While this does not enable them any special privileges in regards to Artifacts, it simply grants them an IC location to travel to in order to restock.
  • All Merchant bios start with 10 Supply slots to create artifacts/goods with. These customs cannot be traded and can only be sold, requiring IC meetings ( i.e. no Training Grounds threads ). At each rank, this increases by 10 slots and the user is able to drop up to 5 of these submissions.

Restrictions:

  • Merchants cannot make use of any chakra fueled Ninja skills. They can, however, be paired with the Stone of Gelel, Atavistic Flame, and/or Cyborgs.
  • Every bio starts with 5 Item slots, shared between Tools and Supplies
