Black Zetsu poisoned Itachi

There were tons and tons of theories about Itachi's sickness,but does anyone of you guys think that maybe Black Zetsu poinsoned or infested Itachi with some kind of disease?

Itachi cought some kind of sickness,right away he killed the Uchiha clan and joined Akatsuki,so that works for this theory.


We all well know that BZ stated that Itachi is invincible,and he understood right away that he was diffrent from any other Uchiha,so he can't manipulate him for his cause.

And because of that he made his chooise to eliminate Itachi in a sneaky way rather than confront him in an open fight later so he coudn't trouble his plans ?

That would be only plausible if the had some kind of open wound,in which his victims blood could enter and spread the disease,but no one managed to lay a fingure on him,and inflict him that kind of injury

Black zetsu only called him invincible after seeing the susanoo weapons and that itself is likely to a part of the legend about totsuka/yata as some legends always spring around such things like kyuubi being a natural disaster or rinnegan being a godsend ability

This actually makes sense. BZ understood that, even if his mother would be revived, she would run the risk of being sealed by Itachi's ultimate sealing sword. If Itachi wouldn't have stopped Madara earlier.
