In other words, Gai shouldn't even be able to beat someone like Hashirama negg diff with ''8 gates'' cuz he can according to the unbalanced power scale Kishi displayed.

and yes i was satified with the beast i always knew gai was super powerful with gates and hes a taijutsu master thats speed power and endurance plus reation upps so she was nearly a unstoppable force!! yet he was injured and tired already while madz was 100%
madra never complimented no one but hashi like he did for gai
and no one ever made madara say 'OH HERE HE COMES" then try to hide

during the pain arc, Naruto was already at the brink he just needed a little push to topple to tha other side(that push in this case was hinata) and yes, he could easily be tamed by another girl other than sakura,we all seem to have forgotten that he almost got married at some point

It was epic, and a very nice feat for Gai, however it resulted in nearly nothing, just like part 1 Lee vs Gaara. Funny how Gai sacrificed his life just for Madara to heal and be like nope; same with Lee who injured his entire body and almost lost his taijutsu, just to be denied because he closed his eye at 1 point.

Actual 8th gate as shown by Kishimoto in the manga was about what I suspected. I thought it consistent in terms of power up from the other gates.

Unfortunately the "god" hype assigned to 8th gate Gai by some in NB is complete nonsense. But honestly, so many in NB are so attached to their favorite character(s) that they dream and espouse all kinds of BS to make themselves feel better. So in that sense, the Gai fanboys are not the worst..

No. It was far too strong.

No technique should automatically boost someone to Juubi Jin levels, especially not a technique that doesn't come from the Juubi itself such as the Sharingan or Mokuton.

I know this is your opinion, but i highly disagree.

The gates only boost your power.

Dai using the 8th gate is no where close to as powerful, as gai was.

So 8 gates doesnt boost someone to juubi jin level automatically. It requires the person to already be absurdly strong and fast.

Gai was already kage level in attacks(though not neccesarily stamina, as gates drain stamina fast)



So I am perfectly fine with a technique that boosts a powerful person to absurd power levels. Especially if it is a suicidal technique highly focused technique, that only lasts a minute or 2. Its not like the juubi jin that is that powerlevel constantly.

Being a juubi jin doesnt automatically make someone invincible to attacks. 8th gate gais attacks were nowhere close to the scale that the juubi jin attacks on. However 8th gate gais attacks are strong enough to cause severe damage to a juubi jin. The speed is the largest powerup 8th gate gai got.




To the OP

I was very satisfied with 8th gate gai. I only wish the fight was a little bit longer, and involved a little more regular taijutsu. I have yet to see if I agree with kishis choice to let gai live. I dont know whether I would like it better if he died, makes a full recovery, or is crippled.
