First, this event dragged for entirely roo long and became stagnated towards the final months of it's run; while this was an unforeseen problem, we apologize for not attending to it and ending it when the activity dropped severely. Using the information we had available regarding Tiamat and the rest of the event, Howard decided to speed things along to wrap it up and allow everyone participating in it to regain their bio's freedom as the overall Ninja World continued on. That said, I'll save additional time and go into the prize pool of the Event.

To explain how the grading scale was created and tallied by Howard, I point to a few small factors that went into use.

Grading scale.
  • Any post directly interacting with Tiamat or an arc character equals 1 point.
  • Travel posts and roleplay posts not involving an arc character are not counted as activity unless a move was made.
First Place gets first pick from a pool of special artifacts to utilize in the Ninja World, picking 1 S rank and 1 A rank Artifact. Second place also gets to pick second and picks 2 A Rank Artifacts or 1 S Rank. Third and fourth picks get 1 Pick from either S or A grade while fifth and sixth picks get 1 A Grade Artifacts. In addition to this, those with 5 points an higher will receive 3k Kumi for their participation in said event as a consolation prize for it extending over so many extra months.

‡‡ Prize Pool ‡‡

S-ranks can be chosen 1 time each, A-ranks or below can be chosen up to 3 times each.

( Shōgun no Men'yō ) - Men-yoroi of the Fallen Shogun
Type:
Artifact
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: The Men-yoroi is a three-fold artifact commissioned directly by Takauji Ashikaga himself when he reigned over Degarashan but abandoned during his travel to the Eastern Continent. The Men-yoroi was an extravagant status symbol, crafted to fit his new title as the Shogun. It takes the form of a set of immaculately crafted samurai armor including a Men-yoroi, a type of metal facial armor, this variation of the mengu is depicted as the face of a heavenly deity. The armor includes a Kabuto, a well-crafted jewel inlaid helmet with a three-pronged spike adorned on the top and finally a specially crafted set of Chakra Armor which was developed by the Hangurian Black Ones as not only a means to better protect their elite soldiers but to enhance their offensive capabilities as well. However, this Chakra Armor was special, made to increase Takauji Ashikaga's abilities beyond natural human limits.

The Chakra Armor itself acts as a protective exoskeleton supporting the various muscles, tendons, and bones of the body allowing their body to surpass it's natural limitations, for example, moving faster, and more dexterously than the muscles would allow on their own. What this equates to is a natural increase in speed that is shown as a passive +3 to their normal speed levels stacking with any speed-increasing mode such as Sage Mode, the Eight Inner Gates, or the Seven Heavenly Breaths allowing them to move faster, and more adeptly than someone of the same rank not wielding such an artifact. This is because the armor was specifically built to aid in bolstering the wielder through pain, and weakness. Additionally, the armor passively increases all taijutsu related damage by twenty damage.

The Chakra Armor will protect the user’s body from D-Rank and below energy-based attacks ( Lightning, Fire, Explosion, explosive tags, etc ) in the case of higher-ranked abilities, it will be able to reduce twenty damage that would be taken from physical contact. It also offers limited protection against D-Rank and below Taijutsu. For taijutsu techniques higher than D-rank a reduction of twenty damage from physical attacks can be subtracted. To do all of these various things a chakra drain of twenty chakra per turn is paid as a penalty.

( Chūkū Masuku ) - Hollow Mask
Type:
Artifact
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: The Hollow Mask is thought to be a cursed object with a mind of its own, however, this theory is unfounded with no actual support beyond the mask seemingly acting to protect its wielder. It takes the form of a section of a fractured and broken porcelain and ivory mask adorned with red and black stripes in its default state. In its initial state, it has no tangible abilities but when the wielder is about to sustain damage the mask activates passively and autonomously and even in the same timeframe as other techniques evolving into one of its three states of being. Each of these three states has a separate level of protection granted to the wielder and changes the appearance of the mask, considerably in a process called Hollowficiation that alters the body to be temporarily more resistant to damage.

State One: When the wielder is about to take damage of D-rank or higher the shattered porcelain mask grows in size becoming a face mask covering the eyes, nose, mouth, and forehead. In this state, the Hollow Mask allows for the negation of minor damage. To do this it siphons traces of chakra ( 10 per turn ) from the chakra circulatory system and pumps it directly into the muscles, tendons, and bones of the body altering their physiology. In doing so it makes them more pliable and resistant to damage allowing for the negation of trivial attacks. This state can last for four turns and has the added benefit of shaving off twenty damage from any technique that would strike the user for that time.

State Two: When the wielder is about to take damage of B-rank or higher the mask can evolve further becoming a complete head covering helmet. This helmet stretches around the head, neck, and shoulders even creeping down the chest having an oddly demonic appearance with two growing horns at the crest of the helmet itself. In this state, it appears as a growing white-mass of porcelain or ivory gradually consuming the body. Like, State One the mask siphons chakra from the chakra circulatory system ( 20 per turn ) and pumps it into the muscles, tendons, and bones of the body. It alters the anatomy of the wielder further, increasing their muscle mass, the density of their bones and the plasticity of their tendons. This makes the user resistant to moderate attacks. This state can last for three turns and has the added benefit of shaving off forty damage from any technique that would strike the user for that time.

State Three: When the wielder is about to take damage of S-rank or higher the mask evolves into its final state becoming a full-body suit of white armor. It covers every inch of the body in a protective covering negating the chance for most things to even touch the wielder. The wielder takes on a ghastly white, demonic appearance with horns and claws. The mask siphons off large amounts of chakra ( 30 per turn ) from the chakra circulatory system and forces it into the flesh, muscles, tendons, and bones of the body warping the body to take on the shape and form of the armor itself. This state can last for two turns and has the added benefit of shaving off sixty damage from any technique that would strike the user for that time.
Note: Each Hollowfication State can be used once per arc lasting the number of turns specified
Note: The wielder can use any Hollowfication state at any time and doesn't have to progress through them

( Saionikusu no Hel ) - Helm of Psionics
Type:
Artifact
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: The Helm of Psionics is a strange artifact in appearance it seems to be a simplistic tin-foil hat but it is truly made from a foil consisting of chakra reactive metal gifting it several odd properties. The first ability it grants the wielder is a passive immunity to all mind-probing or mind-reading techniques A-rank or below, shielding their thoughts from outside intrusion. Excluding things like Yin Release, or MS or above mind-probing or reading. The second ability is an active ability when the wielder is about to fall under a genjutsu they are able to spend a move-slot to reverse that genjutsu back upon their opponent so instead, placing their opponent in whatever genjutsu they originally intended to place upon the wielder. This can be done twice per arc, with a two-turn cooldown.

( Gurasukyanon ) - Glass Cannon
Type:
Artifact
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: A rather simple artifact when compared to the rest, with a single purpose, and a single-use per arc. It takes the form of a literal hand-cannon or in layman's terms an empty tube of brittle glass with a hair-trigger attached to the end meant to be held in the dominant hand. This was a critical tool of war for the Hangurian Black Ones, meant to be used in times when they were being overwhelmed or when the odds were heavily stacked out of their favor as it could make a technique launched by an average shinobi into a world-shaking attack.

At the time of use, the wielder will extend the hand-cannon out toward their opponent or opponents using the brittle glass tube as a conduit, channeling a single elemental ninjutsu technique through the tube. The chakra for this technique travels through the tube and blasts out in a spray of fury doubling the size and strength of the elemental technique. This literally doubles the damage of any elemental ninjutsu based technique. Using the Glass Cannon counts as a move but happens in the same timeframe as the technique it is altering. It counts as an active boost.

When a technique is channeled through the Glass Cannon it instantly shatters sending splinters and shards of glass deep into the hand of the wielder and can even pepper their face, chest, and shoulders in microscopic fragments. This deals the original damage of the altered technique to the wielder in tandem to releasing their technique and is an unavoidable effect of the Glass Cannon. It cannot be blocked by any damage reducing ability, mode, or technique. Ergo, if the wielder were to use an S-rank through the Glass Cannon they would automatically take eighty damage upon the formation and release of said technique. The reason why this chakra reactive glass is able to double the power of a technique is still a mystery lost to the Hangurian Freehold. Scholars posture that the glass is able to amplify and resonate with the wielder's chakra but due to the fact that none are crazy enough, or dumb enough to try it they haven't tested this hypothesis.
Note: Glass Cannon can only be used once per arc to alter a single technique

( Marauders no Chizu ) - Marauder's Map
Type:
Artifact
Rank: A
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: N/A ( 10 per turn only when used )
Damage: N/A
Description: The Marauder's Map is a special map crafted in a joint effort by the best artisans of the Freehold and the Black One's Intelligence Division many years before their downfall. This map is the strongest one in a lost set of maps gifted to Black Ones depending heavily on their rank and skill in the Freehold there may be weaker and less detailed maps out in the world lost to time or they may have all been destroyed leaving only this variation. This is just a remnant of a once strong military powerhouse. It was crafted with sheets of the finest paper in the empire and infused with special ink from one of the best Ink Ninjutsu users of the Freehold. The map is said to be one of the cornerstones of Hangurian War allowing the commander who held the map to know, and monitor the positions and placements of both their own troops and the troops of their enemies. This is done by the self-sustained map which grants the holder the ability to see the footsteps of anyone inside the landmark they are currently in as well as the footsteps of those up to one landmark in any direction from their current landmark. This is done by the special chakra reactive ink which will move in tandem with the movement of the people in the landmark creating a rudimentary guide of where each person in the landmark is and how they are moving. The area of the map additionally changes with whatever landmark the user finds themselves in thus allowing for an in-depth understanding of the position of others and of natural landmasses. If the wielder of the map knows the name of the person the ink corresponds to they will see the name next to their footprints if they do not know their name they will only see the footprints. This made it easy for Hangurian Black Ones to shift the tides of war and surprise their enemies allowing them to take over a large swath of the Ninja World in their prime. The artifact does not require Ink Ninjutsu to use as the Ink is a self-sustained substance that feeds upon trace amounts of the wielder's chakra to tune itself to the chakra signatures found in the surrounding landmarks.

( Sōshō Heisa no Shūhen ) - Periapt of Wound Closure
Type:
Artifact
Rank: A
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A
Damage: ( heals 40 )
Description: The Periapt of Wound Closure is a tiny heart-shaped charm with two passive effects. The first is when the wielder is rendered unconscious by any form of damage it will automatically heal them by forty points of damage. This is a minuscule amount but it is enough to rouse them from unconsciousness and allow them to move, act, and fight without needing to wait out the usual health regeneration period. This happens passively, and autonomously. The secondary effect is that any healing effect used upon the wielder is 1.5xs more effective only on the wielder excluding Yang Release. So a technique that would heal them for thirty health instead, heals them for forty-five health. This is only true for techniques used by the user on themselves. This effect excludes the Periapt of Wound Closure which always heals the same fixed forty health no matter the wielder or their abilities.
Note: The unconscious healing effect can be used once per arc

(Kenja Seisakusha) – Forgefiend’s Fabricator
Type: Artifact
Rank: A
Range: Short – Long
Chakra: N/A (+10 chakra cost to applied technique)
Damage: N/A
Description: The Hangurian Golden Age marked a period of technological supremacy over the rest of the world; the supremacy was enjoyed by many – from the military to the average craftsman. What remains of the Hangurian lore speaks of a depraved blacksmith that fashioned weapons for the Black Ones. These weapons fueled the Hangurian war machine and were hailed as the most effective weapons created in the history of the Freehold. One such weapon, the Forgefiend’s Fabricator, is a type of trinket/charm tool that the wielder can use to focus additional chakra into their Earth-based techniques. Unique to the Fabricator is that it can produce limited amounts of Hangurian Ore into one’s Earth-based techniques, imbuing them with a slight metallic red sheen and granting them potent explosive qualities. The volatile ore can be infused into one’s non-supplementary Earth-based techniques for a bonus rank in strength, or 20 damage for S-Rank and above techniques. The infusion can occur within the same timeframe of the applied technique, counting as a move and an active boost. The explosive qualities of the earth can be initiated either through contact, meaning when clashing with other techniques or obstructions, or simply through the will of the user opting to prematurely detonate them. The explosion is proportional to the size of the technique used, making them rather precarious to use in close range of the user. The Forgefiend’s Fabricator can be used once every other turn.

( Mizūmi no josei ) – The Lady of the Lake
Type: Artifact
Rank: A
Range: Short – Long
Chakra: N/A (+10 chakra cost to applied technique)
Damage: N/A
Description: The Hangurian Golden Age marked a period of technological supremacy over the rest of the world; the supremacy was enjoyed by many – from the military to the average craftsman. What remains of the Hangurian lore speaks of a mad engineer that found a burning black liquid, and fashioned it into a chemical of war for the Black Ones. This substance was a sort of refined-fuel for the technological war machines and was thought to be one of the defining features of the Freehold. One such example, the Lady of the Lake is a type of trinket taking the shape of a dainty woman that the wielder can use to focus additional chakra into their water-based techniques. Unique to the Lady is that it can produce limited amounts of Hangurian Oil into one’s Water-based techniques, imbuing them with a slight black tar-like consistency and granting them potent flammable qualities. The flammable oil can be infused into one’s non-supplementary Water-based techniques for a bonus rank in strength, or 20 damage for S-Rank and above techniques. The infusion can occur within the same timeframe of the applied technique, counting as a move and an active boost. The explosive qualities of the water can be initiated either through contact with a fire technique or a simple spark or explosive tag, meaning when clashing with other techniques or obstructions or additionally simply through the will of the user opting to prematurely detonate them they can be ignited. The explosion is proportional to the size of the technique used, making them rather precarious to use in close range of the user making the water slosh and splash in several directions. The Lady of the Lake can be used once every other turn.

( Suna ta-jō no Kensetsu ) - The Construction of Sunomata Castle
Type:
Artifact
Rank: A
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: An artifact that surpasses even (Doton: Uitenpen) - Earth Style: Wheel Of Fortune in its usability ( Suna ta-jō no Kensetsu ) - The Construction of Sunomata Castle is a blueprint of sorts that can be altered to fit nearly any parameter. This artifact is a combination of Summoning Ninjutsu, Earth Release, Water Release, and Wood Release. When the wielder has altered the blueprints to their liking and offers the reactive paper a blood sacrifice similar to a summoning technique the blueprints instantly summon the materials needed to make the wielders wish, a reality. It does this by summoning forth a large amount of rock, mud, sand, gravel or stone during the process of being summoned through this artifact, the blueprints shape the substances to fit the design outlined previously upon the blueprints. It also summons forth any water the wielder wishes ranging from lakes, ponds, rivers, waterfalls, gullies, swamps, or wetlands. Additionally, it can summon forth wooden structures such as buildings, monuments, castles, businesses, and homesteads or trees, forests, or plants. This allows the user to change the topography and ecosystem of the map and create any feature he needs from pillars to gorges, canyons, mountains or simply plains forever altering the landscape of a single landmark. Unlike normal summoning techniques or even (Doton: Uitenpen) - Earth Style: Wheel Of Fortune these alterations are permanent and in truth are not the wielder using any technique related to the aforementioned abilities instead the blueprints themselves are what do all of the work, the wielder need only ask, and the blueprints provides what the wielder intended.
Note: ( Suna ta-jō no Kensetsu ) - The Construction of Sunomata Castle can only be used once, and is consumed upon use

( Guru'dan no Zugaikotsu ) – The Skull of Gul'dan
Type: Artifact
Rank: A
Range: Short – Long
Chakra: N/A
Damage: 100
Description: Thought to be the calcified skull of a prominent cultist and self-proclaimed warlock the Skull of Gul'dan is an artifact of renown. Appearing as a bone-white, weathered skull merely holding the skull in one's grasp causes a cold chill to radiate through the body and down the spine as if the skull is trying to take control of the wielder. Three times per arc, with a four turn cooldown the wielder is able to hold the skull aloft sacrificing a portion of their health to call upon the latent power that remains in the skull. By extending it toward their opponent the wielder can spend forty health to summon forth two beams of wicked diseased energy that bursts forth from the empty sockets of the eyes in a straight line. This energy travels at 2.0x the user's current speed and is able to make sharp turns at a right angle allowing the beams to change direction in the middle of their travel. The beams deal a cumulative 100 damage to anyone stricken by them and leave the stricken person feeling sick, and lethargic reducing their speed by half for two turns.

( Batorumedikku no Hīrākitto ) – Healers Kit of the Battle Medic
Type: Artifact
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A ( heals at a rate of twenty per charge )
Description: This artifact is a leather pouch containing bandages, salves, medicines, creams, and splints that increase the natural healing process. Once a mainstay of Hangurian War, a Healers Kit was gifted to each Hangurian Black One upon their enlistment into the army. Many of them have been lost, used, or expended, and few of the Healers Kits remain in the world but those that do are sought after for their usefulness and the fact that they can be used by anyone no matter their level of knowledge of the human anatomy.
The artifact has a total of four expendable charges, that don't recharge when spent. As an action, taking up a move-slot, the holder can expend one use of the artifact to heal an individual, or themselves by applying the various healing items, without needing to use a healing technique. This action can be passively maintained over the course of multiple turns, spending a charge for each turn the Healers Kit is used. This artifact doesn't require the molding of chakra or much knowledge to apply the bandages, salves, medicines, creams or splints so a charge can be used in the same timeframe as another technique.
Note: Once all charges are expended the artifact is consumed, becoming useless

( Tadatoshi no Chūshin ) – Heart of Chungsu
Type: Artifact
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: A once polished and beautiful kite-shield crafted from Hangurian pig-iron, folded upon itself ten-thousand times to create Hangurian-steel and then encrusted with flawless precious stones. Now the unblemished steel has given way to rot, decay and rust and the jewels have cracked and split becoming flawed, scratched and broken. Once upon a time, this shield was crafted by the finest Blacksmiths of the Freehold in their heyday. The Heart of Chungsu was believed to be the shield that perpetuated the shield and spear paradox. What does happen, when an immovable object, is struck by an irresistible force? The world may never know now that the Heart of Chungsu has been reduced to a damaged state.

When held in front of the wielder as it was crafted for, the shield is able to intercept one technique, consisting of up to one-hundred damage or below passively blocking it. Anything above one-hundred damage will render the shield completely ineffective using up its only charge and making it unusable for the rest of the arc. This is true for any ninjutsu, elemental ninjutsu, taijutsu or kenjutsu technique. This is because when a hostile technique enters short-range of the Heart of Chungsu the jewels will glow erecting a five-meter by five-meter rectangular barrier in front of the wielder blocking substances such as fire, water, wind, earth, lightning, or other tangible objects from entering short-range. This barrier holds off the one technique before being exhausted for the rest of the arc. During its defensive ability, the wielder is able to use another technique in the same timeframe as it doesn't require chakra and is the shield defending the wielder on its own. The Heart of Chungsu's barrier effect can be nullified by techniques or artifacts like ( Senzo Sentan ) – Ancestral Edge that nullify fuinjutsu or barriers as its defensive ability is a form of barrier creation.
Note: The Heart of Chungsu can be used once per arc and recharges at the start of a new arc

( Iounsutōn ) – Ioun Stone
Type: Artifact
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: N/A ( +10 to a technique )
Damage: N/A
Description: The Ioun Stone is a tiny pearl that at the cost of a move-slot can simply add ten chakra to a technique. Not meant to be a power-house artifact or a true game-changer this chakra doesn't increase the power of a technique or increase its strength. The chakra only acts as extra chakra in a technique causing it to have more than the normal level of chakra. It is believed that there are stronger Ioun Stones, this one being an example of a weak variation on the idea. The Ioun Stone can only be used twice per arc, and recharges at the start of a new arc.
