Neji and Sasuke have always been rivals in my brain. Neji is the genius from the previous academy class. Sasuke is the Genius in the class after. They have lots of parallels. Neji just never got the power upgrades that sasuke did. But let's assume he did. Let's just assume all the necessary background plot happens and Neji is able to learn Snake Sage Mode and Unlock the Tenseigan. Could this versionof Neji stand up to Rinnegan EMS Sasuke? I feel like the visuals for this fight would be stunning.

The visual would be stunning, but it would be a short match. Sasuke has the power of the Rinnegan and Sharingan which is problem on its own. The potential of that alone would crush Neji's Taijutsu which most likely he we rely on because of his lineage of Hyuuga. All those upgrades for Neji would be meaningless because he does not use Ninjutsu.
I might be a bit rusty on my knowledge but doesn't Tenseigan come with all the Byakugan stuff as well as the chakra mode? If I remember right in the original series it's stated that the Byakugan is stronger than the Sharingan. Neji also he might not use conventional ninjutsu the Hyuuga infuse chakra into their taijutsu on some techniques. I imagine there's some secret Hyuuga juts that we haven't been introduced yet that also could play some sort of part.
