(Yoton: Yamata no Orochi) Yang Release: 8 Branched Giant Snake

Description: This technique sees the creation of the mythical serpent, the Yamata no Orochi. The user begins by gathering their Yang chakra into their arms and creating three branching streams of white chakra from each of them as well as coating both arms in chakra. The user’s arms and streams of chakra will take the form of serpents with flaming amber eyes. Due to the nature of this technique utilizing one’s Yang chakra, these serpents are not simple manifestations of chakra, but actual sentient creatures. The serpents can sense entities like ordinary snakes and they share a telepathic link to the user, allowing them to communicate with each other. They act like chakra arms and can be used for a variety of purposes. In the base form of this technique, the 8 branches are simple ethereal constructs of sentient Yang chakra. In their second form, users can add nature release to the branches to increase their power. In their third and final form, the user can add Yin Release chakra and give the branches physical bodies. The addition of the Yin Release also gives the branches unique venom which drains the physical vitality of the victim. The bite from each snake lowers a victim’s physical speed, reaction, and ability to use high ranked physical techniques.
Note: Form 1 is capable by all users of Yang Release, Form 2 is capable of Yang Release masters and Yin-Yang users. Form 3, also known as Yin-Yang Release: Yamata no Orochi is only capable of Yin-Yang Users with an affinity to Yang Release.
Note: The vitality degenerating venom is capable by all branches of this technique, however there is only enough for 3 usages. The vitality degeneration venom becomes worse with every bite. If a victim is bitten once their base reaction/tracking is reduced by half, twice and their base speed and physical damage is reduced by half, and thrice they will lose the ability to use any form of tai or kenjutsu techniques and will be rendered completely paralyzed 2 turns after the third bite if not healed. The victim will be unable to do anything short of breathing, including using their chakra. Users bitten once also become incapable of using physical elevating techniques such as Sage Mode or EIG.
Note: Medical ninja or other Yang Release users can rid themselves of the poison through means of medical techniques or vitality boosting techniques such as power of the sun.
Note: Technique can only be used once per battle and requires 50 chakra points to maintain (60 above the first form). While this technique is in use, the user cannot use any non-elemental ninjutsu, Yin Release, or Yin-Yang techniques (other than this technique’s advanced variation).

Alright, so basically how I visualize this technique is very reminiscent to Mitsuki’s Sage Mode. We have etheral snakes around our arms, and because they have their own sentience, they can act on their own accord and communicate with us. Also, since Broly and I are merely Yang users, we only have the first form available to us (etheral). No biggie. They have a mid-range reach, and because they’re pure Yang energy, I would also assume they’re scalding to the outside touch (despite not emitting any noticeable heat/heat period). Overall, a pretty nice technique, and since they’re sentient, each of the snakes can move independently of me while I can do what I need to do.

Alright onto the questions:
  • This might seem obvious, but I just want to make sure, since the first form lacks a tangible body, does that mean these snakes are capable of just phasing through attacks/obstacles?
  • About how big can these snakes get? Like I said I’m thinking like Mitsuki’s size.

I see that using canon Yang with advanced skills (Fuin, Sound, Kin, Gen, etc) was discouraged during the making of some of these techniques and that kinda sucks.

The user creates 8 serpents made of yang chakra (4 from on each arm). From the range of this technique I'm assuming they reach into mid range. these snakes can sense like normal snakes (reading other threads Ive seen that since snakes can sense heat, so can these snakes). They share a telepathic link with the user and can be used to grab stuff and move around like jinchuuriki chakra arms. Which I'm guessing means they can only be used to evade stuff upon activation.

It says that in the 2nd form of this you can use nature chakra, which would lead one to believe that Sage Mode users could naturaly do this. Especially since the Yin equivalent (Phantom Dragons) is able to use their 120 damage variant just by imbuing elemental chakra. But the restrictions say that only those with Yin-Yang can do this.

Then there is a 3rd mode that only yin yang masters with a yang specialty can use, leaving yang users with a maximum of a 100 damage technique.

The 2nd mode allows you to use elemental natures in the snakes

The 3rd mode allows you to use a venom in the snakes that give differente decreases. Med Nin and other Yang masters can flush the venom this creates though

THIS TECHNIQUE CAN ONLY BE USED ONE TIME LOL. It drains a moderate amount of chakra, nothing much.

Wow this is so much more restricted than the yin equivalent.

Overall good technique in a vacuum but I wish it had more usages and more power or boosting capabilities to keep up with the current meta. Even the other yang based boosts wouldn't effect this due to it not being taijutsu

Both of you gave fairly decent sized replies. Not good replies, just decent sized, but they stem from a good place since this is the basic information that needs to be built on. The technique consists of coating your arms in Yang-chakra that take the form of sentient Serpents with flaming eyes. From your arms, three streams respectively are released as well in the form of sentient serpents which wield the senses of real snakes. The serpents are linked via telepathy and can communicate with each other. Broly, think of the link like Ligers and signers have a link; you're able to talk to them and communicate as if having a full conversation - just in the mind only. Adding elemental chakra natures to the jutsu will allow them to posses characteristics of the element. Adding Fire can give the snakes a flaming body that causes high damage burns on contact, Earth will make the snakes heavier, more 'rigid' and able to cause blunt force damage. Lightning will likely resemble Chidori like lightning as you strike and cause paralysis, Wind ofc would make the snakes sharper, giving them slicing like properties. Adding Water nature to jutsu like this is always weird because it just makes it watery; you may be able to grant it sticky water like properties to make it binds people on contact though.

I should point out the snakes 'act' like chakra hands, but they're snakes still. You can't use them for handseals as they can't form them lol. It's more about Taijutsu and physical usage; using them to maneuver or move around, lifting you higher in the air, being substitutes for Taijutsu, etc. Picture Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man.

1. Yes, they would be able to pass through physical obstacles; it should be noted that you're creating three streams of pure Yang chakra that is "alive". The highly energized chakra would cause damage similar to a laser beam or a ball of plasma or something like that when hitting people. Energy based attacks can still combat it much like Hungry Ghost.

2. They can grow up to Mid range to strike targets but are proportionally sized; they can extend and grow up to mid range but they would have the normal size of a normal small snake. Picture a normal Cobra snake and it grows in length to strike.

After talking to you on discord I see I was wrong about this due to some wording on the jutsu. This is actually pretty good. Okay no questions

( Yoton: Byako ) - Yang Release: White Tiger

Description: The user gathers Yang energy into his arms and hands, creating pseudo sentient white tiger heads. Due to the Yang energy, the arms become incredibly hot, causing steam emanate from them. The tiger heads roar when the user attacks and releases the dense steam as a result. In spite of the menacing appearance of the tigers, the strikes do not cause bone crushing or outwardly physical harm. Each strike onto the target causes a massive release of yang chakra into the body, which causes an imbalance of Yang energy. The imbalance results in the target's inability to mold chakra sufficiently for techniques. A single strike from this technique is all that is required to imbalance one's chakra. Targets afflicted by this imbalance become incapable of using techniques unless they spend 3x the amount chakra ordinarily required. However, excessive amounts of chakra from this technique (one turn of contact or a total of 4 completed strikes) results in a more degrading consequence. The incoming chakra becomes so great that it literally begins to burn away the victim's Yin Release chakra in order to make room until the ratio of Yin is at its minimum level required for the victim to remain alive. This reduces the victim's chakra pool by 50% as well as cause their body such tremendous physical pain due to the excess physical energy in their body. Their muscles begin to tear resulting in their movement speed being reduced by 1/4th. Other Yang Release users and Yin-Yang users are capable of controlling the excess amounts of Yang release energy due to their training and thus, will not lose any speed and will only lose 25% of their chakra. Senjutsu surges of equivalent chakra or infusions of those ranks will negate the side effects of this Jutsu, allowing it to be ended prematurely. Should two or more strikes land, the amount of chakra needed to break it will increase likewise, requiring 20 more chakr.
Note: One strike prevents the use of techniques S-rank and above and requires 3x the normal cost for techniques A-rank and below. Yin-Yang Release users can use S-rank at 3x the cost due to their elevated control. The use of Yin Release and genjutsu above A-rank becomes impossible after 2 strikes. All matter of genjutsu becomes unusable after 4 strikes.
Note: The technique ends when the user calls for it or after they've made 4 successive strikes, whichever comes first. While the jutsu is active, the user cannot use Yin Release or non-elemental ninjutsu.
Note: Usable twice per battle and with a 4 turn cool down.

One of my favorite techniques from the Yang canon list; this technique encompases an interesting concept and usage of Yang Chakra. Basically creates psuedo sentient tiger heads that can be sustained so long as they are fueled. By striking the target, you overload their system with Yang Chakra, causing an impalance that produce the aforementioned effects above. While it doesnt deal damage, using this alongside actual Taijutsu will do damage. Questions?

I wish the "incredibly hot" steam did some sort of damage. But sealing off S ranks and above with a single punch is cool.

Just so I'm clear, the first part of this means that the senjutsu surge of chakra must be atleast 70, and the second means that a normal/elemental surge of chakra of the same amount will negate the side effects?

Both refer to Senjutsu; the first is about the user using Senjutsu on his own, having to have a spike of enough chakra to break it. The second is about foreign sources utilizing it and infusing the chakra into the user. Only Senjutsu is necessary to break it.


( Yoton: Jigoku no Enjin ) - Yang Release: Ring of Hell

Range: Short
Chakra: 80 for touch based version/100 for ranged version
Damage: N/A
Description: By channeling copious amounts of Yang energy, the user is able to infuse others with this, temporarily enhancing their physical attributes. This is achieved in two ways, either by direct touch or proximity. The first is more limited to a single person but has greater benefits; those channeled directly into will be able to reduce 35 damage from physical contact and gain physical alterations to their body that the Yang energy 'breathes' into life, such as twice the height or width of their body, additional arms or legs, etc as long as within reason and used solely for physical purposes. Should the user use the alternative release, then he is able to release Yang energy from his body up to Long range away, affecting all allies in the range. This variant allows the user to augment all allies with the same type of changes, ranging from all gaining wings to more. These changes only last a limited time, however; after 3 turns pass, the grown appendages or changes fall and revert back to normal. Depending on the alteration, one of a few benefits might be obtained.
Note: If additional arms, stronger arms or alterations related to the arm are made, then the target will gain an additional +20 to Taijutsu. If the changes target the head, the user is able to grant a 2x tracking. If leg based alterations are made, then the target will gain either +4 levels to his base speed or +20 damage to leg based tai. If changes target the torso, then an universal durability boost of B rank Ninjutsu immunity is obtained and if wings or similar is created, then the user is able to fly at thrice their speed.
Note: The damage and speed boosts are considered Passive and Base Speed increases. The values listed in the techniques are if the touch based variant is used. If the ranged variant is used, then these benefits are reduced by gained on a lesser scale ( +15 to Tai instead of +20, +2 Speed Levels, 1.5x Tracking, or -15 from all physical clashes).
Note: Touch based variant can only affect up to two people per event. Ranged variant creates a wave of Yang energy that affects up to 3 allies and lasts up to 4 turns.
Note: Can only be used three times in total.


This is another one I believe is simple and easy to understand; it allows you to enhance your allies and grow appendages through this technique. Being one of the few that has directly beneficial use for those other than the user, the custom potential it opens up is very broad. The restrictions are pretty clear imo, but I want you to explain the differences between the proximity use and touch based use and ask any questions you have.

It says it must be used on "allies" Does this include things we create by using change into hell? What about summons or other animals? Or even autonomous creations? Whats the limit for that

Proximity can only affect one thing at a time, lasts 3 turns, and can only be used twice. The proximity and ranged use can make the same physical alerations such as creating wings or changes in size or appendages, however the proximity version bestows stronger versions of the same effects. Seen in effects like the proximity versions 4 speed levels to the ranged versions 2.


The ranged version can effect up to 3 "allies", and lasts 4 turns

Proximity is basically one person, and ranged is affecting multiple allies. The ranged one doesn’t last as long and the proximity one is a stronger more focused version basically. No questions since everything’s pretty much laid out

Description: Based on Hagoromo's Six Paths Sage Mode, those who have completed Yang can enter this mode to elevate their prowess but only in their spiritual or physical capabilities. The lack of the Juubi’s monstrous chakra and natural energy makes it impossible for proper balance of both Yin and Yang natures simultaneously at such a high level. When entering this mode, users first gather their five basic nature chakras and their Yin and Yang natures. They then manipulate the ratio of their Yin to Yang chakra such that one nature almost completely overshadows the other, done almost instantly and effortlessly. The result causes the user to enter one Yang State. Yang State is the state entered by users when they emphasize their Yang chakra over their Yin chakra. In this state the user is endowed with a white and black jumpsuit akin to the one Bruce Lee donned in the “Tower of Death.” Their hair and sclera become white as well and their hands gain pure white, fingerless gloves with black magatama on the back. Along with the 4 Truth-Seeking Orbs, the user will gain a pair of white nunchaku consisting of the same energy and ability of the orbs. The main attribute that users in this state gain is Tian. Tian refers to a physical power beyond the scope of the earthly mortal. While in this state, the user’s ability to track and react to movements and actions is near limitless. Gaining a tracking capability on par with the Eighth Gate, the user's speed increases by x6 as well. Almost all physical damage is all but negligible to a user in this state, tanking S rank damage from any clash. The only possible way to cause physical harm to a user in this state would be for them to use Yang Release or Forbidden ranked techniques, or techniques that exceed the damage of 7th Gate and beyond. The effects of these Jutsu, while not dealing physical damage, will still apply such as fatigue, paralysis, etc. The drawback to this technique is that, due to the massive imbalance of Yang chakra, Yin Release and other spiritual techniques are impossible to use whilst in this state.
Note: This technique only last 6 turns and can be used only once per battle.
Note: One must have completed Yang Release in order to use this technique. The user can only use either Yin or Yang State on any bio.
Note: Once the technique ends the user’s spiritual or physical chakra is drained to the barest minimum for their survival, thus making them incapable of using Yin, Yang, or Yin-Yang Release techniques for 10 turns and incapable of using taijutsu for 5 turns (this includes releasing leg weights and physically augmenting techniques).
Note: Likewise, users are unable to use techniques above A-rank for 4 turns.

Easy to understand, using the state drastically increases your physical capabilities such as speed and damage tanking increases. With a speed on par with high end Gates, you are pretty much the same as a Speedster and can survive damage from techniques of the 7th Gate and lower level damage. This is a bit difficult to exactly understand, I'd imagine, as the 7th gate is simply a damage modifier of +60. However. It's also stated in the tech the level of durability you are able to amass and what harms you. What is the best way to defend against the boosts from Yang State? What ways can you mitigate the benefits gained by a foe with this?

This technique says it can protect against S rank damage. 80 damage or all S ranks regardless of damage boost?

The best way is to use spiritual techniques on them like genjutsu or Yamanaka techs because this form leaves you unable to counter spiritual techniques in the first place. This is a gigantic hole in defense tbh

You can also use techniques that don't give off physical damage and give effects such as exhaustion, paralysis, fatigue, etc.

The defense only applies to physical damage. It looks like yin release forms a hard counter to this technique which makes me feel ????

Basically what Broly said. Spiritual techniques are a good way to overcome the overwhelming speed and strength by stopping a Yang State user right in their tracks. Doing this and avoiding their line of fire until it runs out is a sure way to victory. Also, since having a damage boost gives a Yang user a crazy advantage, you could also use techniques that powerplay based on rank instead!

S Rank damage =/= boosted S rank damage. S rank damage refers to the damage standard S ranks do, 80 damage. If it said "all S ranks regardless of damage", then it'd be that way. Anything higher will deal full damage to you.

I'm not sure why you feel that as the technique doesn't alude to it; it mentions that you cannot use these techniques, not that you are unable to counter them. Perhaps the only way that is definitively removed is pain based releases as you would need to inflict high damage on yourself to get past this, but any other method of release is this valid. Chakra surges, foreign chakra, etc - these still work. I'm not sure why you said otherwise.


Your ideas on countering are for the most part correct. The thing to note when fighting Yang State users is that upon activation, they gain access to the Yang TSBs, which makes countering them even harder. While these balls arent hard to understand for the most part, I want you to explain them in your own words first. There was a small edit to it to allow it to be more offensive again, can you spot it? What core properties of Yang can you spot?

Description: This is a version of the Truth-Seeking Ball capable only to users within the Yang State. These orbs possess the five nature elements plus the user’s Yang Release chakra. The ratio of Yang chakra that exists within the orbs is greater than the parent technique and thus has more physical qualities to compensate for the lack of Yin and natural energy. These orbs are around the size of a fist and are bright, radiant, and white. These orbs are malleable like the parent technique due to the collection of nature chakra within them; however, they have a great deal more physical energy due to their high ratio of Yang chakra. The high concentration of Yang makes these orbs incredibly hot to the touch. No heat actually emanates from the orbs, but if anyone or anything else other than the user comes into contact with the orbs, they’ll scorch immediately. These orbs can effortlessly evaporate liquids and disintegrate solids. Like the parent technique, the user can generate various shapes and entities with these orbs as well as command them up to a distance of mid-range. The user can expand these orbs and create a mid-range level explosion with these orbs. With the use of a single hand seal, however, the user can use one of their orbs to heal themselves or others from damage that could have otherwise been fatal. The user can do this twice ( only once on themselves ), sacrificing up to two spheres, however, the user can only use the application once every three turns. Again, like the parent technique, the user can only command the orbs for two turns before they return to an idle position. After using one of the orbs to heal damage, the user will be unable to use the Truth Seeking Orbs for 3 turns.
Note: Can only be used while in Yang State.
Note: The user can command the orbs anywhere up to mid-range, beyond that the user can only call them back into their range of effect. However, if the orbs go beyond 20 meters they will remain until the user gets close enough to call them back.
Note: The user gains 4 orbs which surround them in any form they desire upon creation.

Alright so basically, these orbs are really malleable concentrations of Yang energy that carries all of it’s properties. Devishly hot to the touch, but also carries healing properties that can be used every so often. And as to the offensive change, is it that they can only be matched by chakra exceeding Forbidden Rank in strength?

The corr properties are: heat, durability, and healing.

oh okay I'm guessing the offensive edit was the part where it scorches anything it touches and can evaporate and destroy material

But if you ask me, the offensive edit was this

This appears to say only techniques exceeding the chakra of F ranks can defeat the orbs.

Anyway, these are orbs of yang energy that can heal you, be shaped into different entities and forms, and emit a scorching heat when touched. They can also disintegrate materials and evaporate liquids.

Someone could make a TSB gun that shot TSB bullets per say

I think you both overlooked it; the edit was referring to the TSB. At one point, they originally could explode and cause mass damage but this was removed. After feedback from others, I edited it back in and that's where the 100 damage comes into play.

I also think the wording of the chakra exceeding portion is faulty. I believe it was meant to techniques doing 100+ damage being able to beat these orbs. I'll need to edit that later, I believe.

Also, in regards to your gun thing, you'd be possible but it'd only be useable with the Mode active and definitely not as a secondary ability of a Tool.
