Ever since 2012, Samsung has been teasing us with the same foldable display technology over and over again. But this time, their teasing is definitely not for naught. They are now calling this display tech as "Infinity Flex", where you have a hinge in the middle to fold the main display in half, much like paper (due to how flexible OLED displays have become over the past couple of years)
In addition to having portability of both a smartphone and a tablet in your hands, it also comes in with a new user interface/user experience that will most likely show up on Google's new Android OS version (Android Q) that should work perfectly with foldable phones and added multi-tasking capabilities. It's definitely an exciting tech to be unveiled at CES 2019, but might not be as exciting for most smartphone enthusiasts out there, or some might definitely call it a niche product for the ones who can only afford.
But then again, if Samsung would lower down prices to a grand + they sold the same tech to other companies like LG and Apple, would you consider buying a phone + tablet hybrid like this if it goes successful on the smartphone/tablet market?
