What is more important? I made a simlair thread before, but basically, if you have ideas then that can motivate you, but without talent you can't realize them.
If you have talent, then that's great but without ideas they may seem pointless as well.

Like if someone worked with live action movies, maybe he is really talented but nothing he does is ever considered very special.

Or if someone wants to work with movies cus they have a lot of ideas for film, but then they can't do it cus they can't realize them cus they lack talent.

I think talent is the most important part, but at the same time without ideas you lack direction. motivation and knowledge of what you want to do.

Imagine if life was so cruel that they gave kids ideas that are worth millions but they didn't give them the opprtunnity for them to gain the talents necessary to realize them.

Imagine if that's what happens everyday, there are millions of people who has great ideas but since they lakc the talent they can't realize them.

If you have talent then at least you are safe right? Cus you won't be fired from your job or fail school.

But at the same time if nobody dreamt of an Ipad we wouldn't have them in the first place.

I think the right word is "skill" rather than "talent". I think of it as so, as all people (and I mean everyone, including prodigies) work their way in enhancing their skill be it art, music, technology, programming, etc.
(Be it simpler or harder for each of them to adjust on their skill, they still work for it, no doubt)

Normally I would side on one end, and it'll be idea/creativity on this one. People can definitely earn a specific skill if they work hard for it. By combining your own ideas in mind and making it reality with your newly-acquired skill, you can definitely make something possible.

But realistically, you'll end up doing alright in both situations even though you're lacking one or the other. Businesses need people who do both, and that is where groups/teams come into play. In order for them to make an idea possible, we group the most creative thinkers and skillful people together, which ends up being a total flop, OR a huge success at the end.

This made no sense. How are ideas and talents in any way related to each other in the manner you are describing them?

If you have talent for playing football, then you have talent for playing football. What do ideas have anything to do with it? Also having good ideas in itself can be considered a talent, so...

Everyone can have ideas, but if you don't actually understand everything behind the idea, it's nothing more than a shallow thought and blaming that on the absence of talent, is rather pathetic. A good idea pretty much demands certain qualifications to make it a good idea.

Also even if you have talent and good ideas, lacking the means to put them into practice is a different matter altogether. That's just the plain hard reality of this world and has nothing to do with either of them.

On top of that people valuing something is again something different. The Internet is full of people who have ideas and the talent to sustain those ideas, but are not valued much because they aren't worth much.
