Sasuke wants to take revenge (though I'm not certain if he still wants that now) because he just uses the saying 'an eye for an eye' or in this case a village for a clan.

Yes, only a few people were involved in the Uchiha massacre, and the rest of the village is innocent. But at the same time, there were also innocent people in the Uchiha clan who got also killed. So Sasuke is in the mindset "If they killed my entire clan, why should I let their villagers live?"
He wants to take revenge and take as many lives as he can - just like they did with his clan.
It doesn't matter if Itachi tried to convince him to give on his path of revenge - it's because he loves his brother so much that he wants to take revenge for the way his brother was treated, no matter what Itachi thinks about that.

Sasuke is a bit screwed up in that sense, but that's only to be expected considering he was very young when he lost his entire clan and had to grow up with the mantra that he had to hate his brother in order to get revenge. And then getting to hear that your brother actually protected you all along and made a deal to keep you safe in exchange for stopping the clan, well, that would screw up everyone I assume.

Nobody could come out of such situations completely sane and it doesn't help that Sasuke had to grow up alone (so far nothing indicated that somebody was there to guide him - well not that I can remember in the manga at least)

His actions and thoughts may seem illogical to most people and I'm not supporting his idea of killing innocent villagers because the same thing happened to his clan, but it is understandable when you take into account his history and the revelations he got to hear later on.

No. But he understands why Itachi killed his family. It's all because of Tobi. If the Kyuubi didn't strike, the Uchiha wouldn't be suspicious. If anything, he should attack Obito.

techinally it wasn't even Obito's act that angered the Uchiha it was the senju and Konoha

Don't underestimate the curse of hatred, they still would have rebelled even if Obito didn't attack

But why? Because only Senju are Hokage? Minato and Hiruzen weren't. And an Uchiha (maybe Itachi) could have been Hokage if they didn't believe all this curse of hatred bs.

I see him finding a way around that truce with Naruto and killing the elders. The boy has a one track mind in terms of revenge. He went as far as reviving the pedosnake to gather all the needed information. Obito and Naruto are in the back of his mind waiting to be adressed. I'm waiting to see how complex Kishi makes Sasuke out to be, because he seems flat.

Ok, IMO, Sasuke's just acting like a stuck up brat in comparison to what he used to be like...even 3 years ago.

After he killed Itachi, I believed he wouldn't go back to the village but I thought he wouldn't become bad - sort of like an anti-hero maybe. You know, since the only reason he left Konoha was to kill Itachi. Yes I know Tobi told him all those lies and truths mixed together, but Itachi only wanted to protect Konoha and Sasuke. Sasuke is now pitting those two things against each other. If he really did love Itachi, he would've gone back to the village because from what I remember, he wasn't an international criminal at the time he killed his brother. Infact, he killed some Akatsuki members which would probably make the village accept him back? Or maybe they wouldn't but Naruto would TNJ them or something.

Ok I realise I'm probably gonna ramble on for much longer...so can somebody explain his logic to me please; so I can better understand.

Sasuke is just being emo for emo's sake, believe it

Do you know why there is a curse of hatred? Because of D-bags like Obito and Madara.

First off, Sasuke's main flaw, according to Obito and to a while history of Uchiha's deeds, is that he is more accustomed to think that revenge and blood will solve things better than anything else. After he lost his subject of hatred (Itachi) he was all confused and didn't care about just anything. He needed to find another thing to hate, another goal in avenging something.

That said, the (barely) ojective point Sasuke makes is that Konoha's peace and tranquility is built upon a lie. The Uchiha had to be erased for the Senju-centric Konoha to mantain its status quo (that is, of course, the interpretation of the events by Obito, someone who is more than happy to lift every responsability from the Uchiha and from himself). The annihilation of an entire clan is carried out under a face-saving lie that happens to put all the blame on one kid's shoulders, and that kid happens to be Itachi, the brother who loved him beyond limits. You can guess on your own how much value Sasuke puts on such peace: zero.

If it's any consolation to Sasuke's detractors he's currently effed up right now on what to do.
