This weeks chapter made a BIG confusion to most of the readers. Tobi=Obito fans are shouting with joy while the opposite are mad and some made comments that they would stop reading Naruto because Kishi is screwing things up. With only one chapter and all hopes are gone. Is it really true that Kishi is destroying the timeline of the story? Let's take a look at it............
I would say that both sides are correct! Tobi=Obito fans and the opposite side are both correct. How come? Okay, if we have read the manga thoroughly then we can say that both are correct because.......
1. Tobi=Obito in terms of physical aspect! He is Obito physically. This is what our eyes can see, right? But, is he really Obito in general? I mean his consciousness, chakra, etc...
2. Tobi is not Obito in general. The timeline of the story proves that Tobi is not Obito.
Who is Tobi exactly?
I would say that he is both Obito and Madara. He has the body of Obito and with the consciousness and chakra of Madara. Here are the proof showing that Tobi is really Madara.
Scan 1: It was really hinted that Tobi is Madara
Scan 2: Tobi does not use the MS in the presence of other akatsuki members. Concealign his true identity
Scan 3: Madara's unknown intention why he infiltrated Akatsuki
Scan 4: Standing on his own statue
All scans above are from the databook so no excuses here that he is not Madara.

Take note that two guys mentioned above are considered geniuses.
It was proven by Minato and Oro that chakra and consciousness can be sealed.
Tobi is Madara within Obito's body. He might have sealed his chakra and consciousness to a zetsu clone before he died so he can continue with his plan. This is supported when Tobi said that he gave Nagato the rinnegan and Madara talking about Nagato.
It's most likely that he waited for an opportunity to get a hold of an Uchiha body that time where he can transfer his consciousness and chakra again. We all know that a non Uchiha can't use sharingan the way an Uchiha does. A non uchiha can't activate the sharingan long enough.
Supported with evidence from the databook and manga, only one reason that can explain the confusion with the recent chapter about Tobi being Obito. Tobi is Madara using Obito's body. This reason won't break the timeline of the story.
