NikesOnMyFeet made a good point though. I think Sasori wins this, I believe the only possible way is if Itachi hits him with Amaterasu to the heart.

I don't remember any edos being under genjutsu, but Sasori is a puppet, puppets can't be put under genjutsu..

Honestly I don't see sasori dodging amaterasu. You guys are putting sasori with his last resort, dance of a hundred puppets or something not taking into account that they are all bound by chairs strings something the sharingan can see. Itachi is one of the fastest characters in the narutoverse as sasori is not. The databook is inconsistent we all know that. Its a level cap on there, you honestly think Itachi, sasori, orochimaru, and minato are all the same level of genius? Im pretty sure a 1 or. 5 can not be taken literally here. I can see the chakra strings at the epic center (I think they come from his chest if im not mistaken) being ignited by amaterasu, therefore leading to sasori forcing him to cut his strings loose from himself. Amaterasu burning the threads leading to the puppets.

His "heart" as you guys say is the key factor here. Let's be real, its not as if it doesn't have a special marking on it. And since it is his life force im pretty sure it has chakra, something to distinguish it, therefore its going to have color looking through the sharingan. This is not too much of a reach to think that Itachi can notice and deduce that it will be a vital point, I mean it is in the place of an actual heart afterall. Now how will sasori exchange puppet hosts if amaterasu is not already burning them or close to burning them coming from the chakra strings.

That should eliminate all them, making it a 1v1 again. Now I ask what will sasori do now? The thing is sasori is known for his poison, he has to try and hit Itachi with a blade, easier said than done. You guys can debate on the rest. I just see Itachi winning sorry if that doesn't appease to your senses. I mean naruto is about paying attention to the details in battle,

I believe Sasori will win the majority of times. Iron sand can be used just as much on defense as on offense. And really Itachi's only hope is to hit Sasori's heart with Amaterasu or the Sword of Totsuka. So yes, Itachi has a chance, but considering that Sasori knows his weakness, he WILL defend it. Against Chiyo and Sakura he was cocky and didn't defend it, but against a far more formidable opponent in Itachi he most likely would. That would at least deal with Amaterasu, seeing as how any type of protective barrier would take the flames and not his heart. And since he is a puppeteer, he fights from a distance. The sword of Totsuka has a range, and so he could easily control his puppets out of the range of the sword. Once the 100 puppets are out, Itachi wouldn't have time to focus on Sasori himself. Also he would certainly lose his stamina far faster. So at that point, the battle belongs to Sasori.

So yeah, Sasori would definitely be able to outlast Itachi with combination attacks from his many puppets. So Sasori has the upper hand and would beat Itachi I'd say...6/10 times.

genjutsu most likely wont work on sasori, considering he doesnt have a chakra network to manipulate or a brain to insert an opponents chakra inside, thats a big part of itachi's arsenal right there,

amaterasu and totsuka blade are itachi's only feasible options besides blatantly outsmarting sasori in combat and i dont see sasori of the red sand getting taken advantage of that easily, amaterasu is a good bet but whos to say sasori cant switch his puppet body while the exterior is burning, that would depend alot on timing on sasori's part but i dont think ama would be a 100% finishing blow if it connected, and totsuka blade is a whole different story, whos to say it can seal inanimate objects? sasori has a puppet body, i doubt totsuka blade would be effective unless it struck sasori's physical heart, and thats a small target to say the least

Skilled sharingan user are the worst thing possible for Sasori.
Chiyo stated that his core is the only human part emitting chakra,we all know that sahringan can see chakra flows so once his core is detected the target will be simple and precise,a litle heart can easily be destroyed with amaterasu.If eh tries to switch puppets,his core has to move as well so it won't it doesn't change anything he'll die when amaterasu hit his heart.

Also genjtusu should works since Sasori can see, can think and overall since he has a chakra system (core) so genjutsu would works, since itachi can disrupt chakra flows by using genjutsu.Onc echakra is distrubed no matter what Sasori will be under genjutsu .

The problem is Amaterasu needs a clear path of sight, and Itachi needs to use it, he won't have the time to use it while he is dealing with 100 puppets..

But before that what will Itachi do about Iron Sand? He absolutely has no counter for it.

Before Iron sand how will he get Sasori out of Hiruko? Amaterasu? Well that's one use closer to being drop dead tired, he will also have to use Susanoo to defend efficiently.

Susanoo on top of one Amaterasu will definitely make him tired especially after trying to defeat Hiruko, and then he will have to deal with Iron Sand, which will effectively block any path for Amaterasu.

Also after one use of Amaterasu Sasori would have an idea of how it works.
