All he needs is amaterasu and katon I think.

I don't remember Itachis Katon Techs being real fast.. Like they are dodgeable.

Amaterasu would def work but take a huge toll on his body, he needs Amaterasu just to get rid of Hiruko.

Look how Sasuke could barely hold his without staggering. Itachi would suffer the same effects.

Like I said 60 seconds and it is over. Itachi on his deathbed could not do it but itachi in a fight where he is half healthy wreck sasori easy. Once he pulls out susanoo sasori is out of luck. Everyboody does not have a counter for Ama also. Most ninja will just suffer at its speed. sasori has no real counter He can't control the sand as well as gaara and probably would never even see them coming. If itachi uses it twice he wins. people over estimate that puppet.

If itachi uses susanoo for 60 seconds it will be over. Sakura beat sasori's first form. I don't need to go into that any further. The third kazekage sand can be evaded. He has sharingan and is much faster than sakura who was able to evade it. The third kazekage always attacks and leaves himself open while he recalls the iron sand. That is when itachi will use ama. Once that happens sasori will use himself. At that point Itachi will pull out his trump card which is thousand times better. susanoo. After this he can just hit him with his sword and seal him. Meanwhile all his puppets attacks fail. Sasori has no raw power in place of poison he is a easy opponent for itachi because he has sasunoo. If he uses poison gas he will just move out of it. Itachi wins every time. Low diff. If genjutsu can be used on puppets it is not even a match.

Sakura also has monstrous strength and was assissted by Chiyo.

Itachi is more intelligent.

BUT

Sasori is way more skilled though, 100 puppets at one time? 3rd person controlling of Iron Sand? Those are tremendous skill feats.

Itachi's best bet is amaterasu..and if he misses the match would be heavily sided in sasori's favor since amaterasu would cause him fatigue and strain on his eye affecting his vision also sasori could dodge ama by leaving hiruko's body or switching to another puppet body. In the end I think sasori would be able to take itachi on with high difficulty. Its sad how sasori is extremely underrated and how people actually think Sakura and chyio > sasori..in that fight sasori only used 1 human puppet and was whooping them with another human puppet he would have killed them.

I believe Sasori will win the majority of times. Iron sand can be used just as much on defense as on offense. And really Itachi's only hope is to hit Sasori's heart with Amaterasu or the Sword of Totsuka. So yes, Itachi has a chance, but considering that Sasori knows his weakness, he WILL defend it. Against Chiyo and Sakura he was cocky and didn't defend it, but against a far more formidable opponent in Itachi he most likely would. That would at least deal with Amaterasu, seeing as how any type of protective barrier would take the flames and not his heart. And since he is a puppeteer, he fights from a distance. The sword of Totsuka has a range, and so he could easily control his puppets out of the range of the sword. Once the 100 puppets are out, Itachi wouldn't have time to focus on Sasori himself. Also he would certainly lose his stamina far faster. So at that point, the battle belongs to Sasori.

So yeah, Sasori would definitely be able to outlast Itachi with combination attacks from his many puppets. So Sasori has the upper hand and would beat Itachi I'd say...6/10 times.

Read how genjutsu works, it is indeed a fact that Sasori is immune.
