I believe the most healthy Itachi without sickness was in Part 1 when he came to Konoha with Kisame. However even then Itachi was constantly advised not to keep on using his eyes. And he himself was cautious about using more than once in a day.

He doesn't have more chakra than Naruto... his chakra probably just regenerates in an instant after using techs.
Hum, good point. I didn't see it this way, but at the end it doesn't change that much. He could still spamm techniques much more than Naruto

Was it ever said that the disease reduced his chakra levels? I think he naturally had low chakra levels. Comparing him to Kimimaro who also suffered from disease, he never struggled with his chakra levels and had 4.5 for stamina in the databooks compared to Itachi's 2.5.

Just because there was no signs of him coughing up blood or anything, doesn't mean that he wasn't sick. It could have been lying dormant or even still very active. Since his illness was never specified, it could been one he was born with for all we know. ^_^

Also Itachi always had his sharingan activated since he mastered it to the point where it took little to no chakra on his pat to keep it active. :ice: The only time he deactivated it was when he used tsukuyomi and amaterasu back to back.

It's hard to judge what he is truly capable of if he was at a truly healthy state since edo adds more stats, but also adds disadvantages as well. U_U

I agree to some extent. I think Itachi, with his disease, was the healthiest at that point in time, not AT his healthiest, but was at his healthiest WITH the disease. I still think the disease affected him though, even back then ^^

Meh, you can't use the databook like that. Take it this way; Kurenai has a 5 in the databook for Genjutsu but Itachi reversed her Genjutsu with a C RANK Genjutsu of his own. So according to your logic Kurenai = Itachi in terms of Genjutsu? Meh, that's how I see it anyways, it just doesn't work with the DB.

I think there are some things we don't know before talking about sick Itachi or something like that:

- We don't know when Itachi became sick. It's not even sure that in part1 he was already sick
- We're not sure if 30% is enough for Itachi to use a MS technique. He only said that he couldn't use it at that moment(cuz he only had 30% of his chakra) but that doesn't mean that if he had 40% of his chakra for example he could use MS techniques. Nothing proves that

well the math is wrong since he not only used it twice, but sealed one in a transcription seal..

Thus amaterasu + transcription seal fuinjutsu was used

Yeah, I didn't know the % of chakra he used up for that, so I left it out ^^

Well we will never know. However I personally believe after that incident the effects of MS gradually took toll on Itachi over the time skip. I mean Sasuke only had it for so little while and yet he already was experience the side effects, abeit he used them without proper consideration, unlike Itachi who was well cautious.

Itachi was going blind and still had to fight sasuke, so he wouldn't want to use MS techniques. Plus, he didn't want to kill Naruto or anyone anyways....
Guessing chakra usage from a clone without knowing his exact motives is not that reliable.

Itachi deff has more stamina then he showed when he was alive and he still tech outlasted Sasuke in the first fight in someways. I'd say he has decent chakra|stamina with great chakra control.

I'm not saying that MS didn't speed things up on his part, which it most likely did. I was just saying that we won't know how long he was ill unless Kishi tells us. (some how) xd

That only works at 5 where there can be a big difference. Below that there may be a difference but it wont be as large.

bcoz even living itachi chakra level is nowhere near naruto
Cuz i'm talking about Edo Itachi and Edo Itachi had infinite chakra. Infinite chakra>Naruto chakra

I don't know why people keep saying Itachi's disease is why he has low chakra levels. That's NEVER mentioned in either the manga or databook.

And as one other person pointed out in this thread Kimimaro had a terrible disease and still had high chakra levels, so if anything that proves that a disease doesn't cause the chakra levels to diminish.

Itachi just seems to possess low chakra levels, but he has incredible chakra control, which allows him to use higher level jutsu without using up so much chakra.

I thought it was obvious in the "Truth of Itachi" that Itachi was sick during the PTS of Naruto to the current Naruto. Remember Tobi saying that Itachi returned to Konoha to let Danzou know that he was still alive. Itachi was a double agent and Danzou knew this. Danzou knew Itachi joined the Akatsuki but his intentions were still to protect Konoha. What reason would Danzou have to think that he was dead? No to mention, Itachi kept having to rest after using his MS during the PTS Naruto as well.

Now, I've been wanting to make this thread for a while. I didn't wanna make it for various reasons but I'm gonna release it now. To start off, let's look at the databook entry to refresh our minds;

You must be registered for see images

I'm convinced that all his life Itachi was being held back due to this disease or condition that he had. In other words, I think Edo Itachi is a good representation of healthy Itachi bar regeneration and excluding the amount of Chakra that the Edo Tensei itself gave to him. I also think that Itachi has been held back by this disease of his rather than him having lower than average Chakra levels to begin with. Here's the basis for my reasoning;

Itachi himself said to Naruto that; (Bottom two panels)

You must be registered for see images

I'm sure we all know that he couldn't use the Mangekyo Sharingan because this clone that Pain had created only accounted for (roughly) 30% of Itachi's Chakra.

This means that in order to use a Mangekyo technique it drains roughly 30% of your chakra. I'm guessing the amount of Chakra you need to use a MS technique for the EMS is different. Anyways, something I'd like to point out is that Itachi, when fighting Sasuke used;

Tsukuyomi: Once (30%)
Amaterasu: Twice (60%)
Susano'o: Maintained it on basic level, and full form for at least a few minutes or so.
Genjutsu: 2 or 3 times.
Fire Style: Once

This means that Itachi exhausted roughly about 90%+ Chakra that he had in that fight against Sasuke, not to mention that he also used a sealing Jutsu to seal his Amaterasu into Sasuke, which also could have accounted for a lot of his Chakra.

Another thing I'd like to point out is that Itachi, sick, and with bad eyesight, still managed to use in part one when he and Kisame attacked the village.

Tsukuyomi: Twice (60%) One on Kakashi, one on Sasuke
Amaterasu: Once (30%) to escape Jiraiya's toad mouth trap

He also used a C rank Genjutsu on Kurenai, and an exploding water clone which may have accounted for a small percentage of Itachi's Chakra.

You see, the point I'm trying to make here is that Itachi should have been able to (without his disease) use many more Mangekyo Techniques than normal. The fact that he was able to use all these techniques and more whilst being, blind, sick AND on the verge of death implies that if had been healthy all his life his Chakra Reserves would have been a lot higher. Also, Itachi managed to keep his three tomoe active all the time with minimal chakra drain on his chakra reserves also implies that a healthy Itachi would have had EVEN less of a drain on his Chakra levels. Even a sick, blind Itachi was capable of using 4 Mangekyo Techniques, without ANY rest in between, is an insane feat indeed, so it's logical to assume that a healthy and a well rested Itachi would surely have a lot more Chakra, and a larger Chakra pool.

Thanks for reading, and please discuss ^^

Yea i agree with you we never saw full potential Itachi. Although he made a good job using all his jutsu's b4 dying . But then again he was dying of it . And i can't also believe that some stubborn fans saying Jiraiya is stronger then itachi. I have 1 answer always:At that moment that time itachi was suffering from his disease and his eyesight and Jiraiya ain't no joke itachi wanted to save some effort to kick sasuke's ass.
Imo people should stop underrating itachi. He is truly one of the strongest/toughest shinobi ever lived. Imo in TOP 10.
