As for the fight well it comes down to the nukes. The match will likely start out with a mixture of close-quarter combat, small scale jutsu exchanges, and just a small bit of pressure. Kisame would spend his time executing jutsu like normal water sharks and the like (which IMO can be copied by Kakashi since they don't really take that much chakra). If Kisame starts sending larger loads at Kakashi than he also has Doton techniques to counter them, which should work as long as they aren't overwhelming jutsu like his giant shark.

As for close combat, well we shouldn't forget that Kisame was a swordsmen and is much stronger physically than Kakashi. On the other side of the ring we know that Kakashi has the Sharingan and puts more "skill" into his fighting style, making this battle turn into the old "power vs. skill" stereotype. In the end though, nobody is likely to win the exchange since Kisame was able to react to Killer Bee's moves and absorb his close-range perks (Kisame can possibly absorb Raikiri too, still iffy on that).

No I think this battle comes down to if Kakashi can out-smart and kill Kisame before his best jutsu come into play. From my point of view, I doubt it since Samehada has some sort of mind of its own, can heal Kisame from fatal blows, and the simple fact that Kisame wouldn't waste time with small-scale attacks since it gets no where.

So in the end it comes down to Kakashi using Kamui on Kisame before it happens, a double KO in which Kakashi runs out of chakra or Kisame's attack hits Kakashi afterwards, or Kakakshi simply cannot use Kamui with his chakra taken away or isn't given a chance too. In my opinion it's Kisame w/ high difficulty.

Kakashi. Kisames style is tailor made to lose against someone like kakashi. Lighting>water. His only hope in winning would be taijutsu. If he can get kakashi with samehada and absorb his chakra then he has a chance. But with the sharingan predicting his movements I don't really see that happening. But yea. Based on their natural elemental affinities I say kakashi

Kakashi's lightning is good against Kisame's water, so he has elemental advantage. Also Kakashi is smarter and has trump card, kamui. So I'd that Kakashi takes this.

Actually in manga there is no something like Raiton > Suiton. But in common sense yes lightling is effective against water. Anyway Kakashi has Doton too for counter to Kisame's huge suiton attacks. However, when battle comes at this level, Elemantal Advantage is not much important. If we'll use common logic again Fire > Wood but Hashirama owned. So Don't say Kakashi has Raiton for Kisame's Suiton. Kisame is able to tank Gai's Asa Kujaku while he was injured. And Asa Kujaku is stronger than any Kakashi's jutsu except Kamui. Kakashi's best chance is an accurate Kamui, but i can not see that.

As suigetsu said "am i too weak against raiton". Its not a very hard concept to grasp why suigetsu said what he did.

Saying all this kisame will beat kakashi. Kisame in base with samahada will beat kakashi with high diff. If he fuses with samahada he beats kakashi with mid diff

Yes i know that Hozuki Clan's Weakness too(+Huge Raiton attacks are able to paralayzed to target). I know someone show this to against me too but i tried to say, you can not parry big suiton with raiton. Maybe you'll hit your target but you can not parry it, you'll take a damage too. Your raiton based attacks(if you'll use long range attack) just passes through the suiton based attack. And Kisame's jutsus are more stronger than Kakashi's.(in raw power) It's not an answer; Kakashi has elemental advantage. + Kisame has not weakness like Suigetsu.
