Wouldn't logic make Nagato> Itachi?

Okay so first of all, let me say that I'm not keen on reading played-out threads. So no, I havn't read your "Itachi vs. Nagato," "Itachi vs. Minato," or your "Itachi is god" thread but I have one point to make. SO DON'T FLAME ME.

So the point I'm making is that Nagato has Rinnegan, right?
It is reasonable to say that Nagato has mastered Rinnegan.

The progression of the Sharringan goes:
2T-training->3T-Kill your closest friend->MS-Steal your brother's MS->EMS-unkown-> Rinnegan

It would be fair to say that EMS Madara< Rinnegan Madara

Susanoo's main use is the same as Shinra Tensai as far as we know

So if Itaci has mastered MS and Nagato has mastered Rinnegan then isn't it then fair to say that because Nagato(prime obviously) mastered the ultimate Dojutsu then he would be superior to Itachi's tier 3 dojutsu?


If I am way off base I am sorry, I really don't want to start a flame war or anything, It is just something that didn't make any sense to me.

You are way off IMO you are not taking the user of said dojutsu's into account. We know Tobi has 3t Sharingan but you can't say Kakashi or Sasuke is automatically better than them because thy have MS - yes I know Tobi may have MS. This logic is faulty you are also not taking legendary weapons Yata mirror and Totsuka blade into account. Also Amaterasu and Itachi only techniques like Tsukuyomi. We have already seen Itachi pwn Nagato with Totsuka sword.

If Nagato is using Paths then no, he probably has enough intel to know how to fight sharingan users. Izanami is useless in combat unless you are fighting someone delusional like Kabuto.

He doesn't have Tsukuyomi anymore, but I guess you could argue that Nagato is incapacitated sooooo... lol I give up on this thread.

I guess a reasonable counterpoint would be that Nagato started out with the Rinnegan. Had Itachi had the time to train up to it, he would've been far superior.
