When you do a battle scenario between two characters and one of them is dead you obviously don't put a corpse up against a living fighter you take the person when he was alive and able to fight.

Now, I still think madara beats tobi if he's edo or not. If you take madara at his strongest he had rinnegan. That's the ability he had before he died don't give me that bull shit saying "he ONLY got it before he died". No, that's one of the abilities he had so that's what's going to be used in this battle simulation. Not only did he have rinnegan, but he hand EMS. madara is also able to switch between the two at will. What ever jutsu tobi decides to use madara can absorb with his rinnengan abilities. I understand tobi has control of 6 bijuu or whatever, but who's to say madara can't steal control from one or two or even all? The 9 tails said madras chakra was the most sinister chakra he'd ever felt. The 9 tails is arguably the most powerful of the bijuu so I'm confident madara would be able to take control of Atleast one. He also has susanoo who's defensive capabilities are tremendous not to mention his susanoos also perform hand seals along with madara so it's virtually 3 on 8 (If you count the bijuus) so the odds aren't completely in Tobis favor. I understand tobi can make himself intangible, but only for 5 minutes at a time. Madara has enough chakra to perform an attack that can last 5 minutes or more. madara can also make a shadow clone and with the amount of chakra madara has his shadow clone(s) still have more than enough to use any technique needed including susanoo.

Don't write madara off because he doesn't have the bijuu he's more than capable of handling himself in a fight against tobi.
