Before he puts them into that dimension he uses genjutsu on them, that's why when he released the two anbu he got from Danzo they were unconcious.

Since when? He transports them directly. The genjutsu can come afterwards at his leisure, there's no rush since nobody can escape.

Sorry, should have been more clear. Tobi can alter which part of his body is phased, and which is materialized as part of his defense and attack strategy. When he fought against Minato he phased his head but maintained his physical body and arms so that he could grasp Minato. If his entire body was phased, he would not have been able to grasp Minato and Minato's Rasengan would not have connected. You could try to argue that in his battle against Minato he was timing when to materialize after the kunai passed through his head, but if his control and timing was that good then it would have also been good enough to recognize that his target had dissapeared and stay dematerialized. If not buying that then the increased field of vision already discussed is another viable theory. Just my thoughts.

If minato had disappeared, then he wouldn't even have time to dematerialize. FTG is instant, which means it's faster than you can think or react. Hence he was hit by rasengan the moment minato disappeared.

Yes, FTG is instant, Rasengan delivery is as fast as Minato can throw a punch. Look at it this way. Is it reasonable to say that Tobi was timing when the kunai passed through his head to rematerialize, or that only his head was dematerialized. If Tobi's timing was so precise he can instantly materialize his body upon the kunai going through his skull, he should have also been quick enough to avoid that Rasengan delivery Minato put into his back. Also there is Sakura's comments in my first post (can't believe I'm using Sakura quotes :sy: ) but there you have it. Here is another example of partial phasing
