Prior to the ending page they also speculated if Ao had his byakugan or not.


There is three reasons to be hyped about Ao's byakugan.

1. What it can do. (New abilities?, How is style of fighting changes, etc...)

2. Showcasing his eye may lead a backstory for AO, which would lead to how he survived the 10 tail attack.

3. Reactionary power for Boruto, be it curse seal or Jougan and how KK would react to that.

Ive been waiting since the friggin five kage summit to see how a non gentle fist user would be enhanced by the byakugan.

i agree though, the hype is real for the byakugan in boruto, and tge speculation for when he has it or some sort of enhanced/modified(or even a ninjatech, cybernetic replacement) its to add to the hype again.
imo he'll probably have a regular byakugan, but the way that it will augment his own capabilities is gonna be the catch

Byakugan has always had the shallowest feats. I better not expect for anything better. It will be horrendous anyway. Though, since it is being used by a Non-Hyuga this time , it might have some potentially threatful attacks and defenses. For every clan if the original member uses the eyes , it is more powerful but for Hyuga Clan , it is the opposite - Foreigners make use of the Byakugan far better than the clones of the Hyuga Clan.

In P1 these genin kids would be blitzed and negged by Ao in less than 1 second. The fact that they completely erased the line between kids' and adult ninja power levels makes it terrible...

That would be stupid, unless he solos everybody. If he gets low diffed after Byakugan reveal then people would just shit on it. The only way I can see it going good is if there's less dialogue and more action.

OT: I personally think Ao's trump card is a Deidara type C 0 attack. Remember he pretty much said he's a tool for Kara and eliminating the konoha ninja would be to serve that end even at the expense of his own life.

Well its a matter of opinion so I won't argue but it all depends on how its executed. That said seeing new abilities from byakugan would indeed be interesting, maybe Ao won't be able to use it to its fullest extent as a hyuga would and that's why lose after giving a tough fight.

Not really in Saradas and Mitsuki case, even Boruto.
They are all like Kakashi was,

Base Gai in P1 could move so fast that Sasuke, Naruto and Sakura couldn't even track his movements and here Sarada, Mitsuki and Boruto fight on par with ninja as skilled as Ao. That's some serious bullshit tbh.

Is it though? Ao’s old and broken now, he’s probably not nearly as nimble as he used to be, and it’s not like ONE of the kids is taking him on, everyOne had to attack him including konohamaru. You make it seem as if any of the 3 kids just came in and solod him in one shot

True ao notes he's only a shell of his former self that doesn't call himself a ninja anymore but even then he's highly respected for his abilities by kara

Boruto didn't really fight on par with him he used ninja tools to give himself the edge and that was after everybody helped distract Ao. The only one that legitimately fought on par with him was Sarada. Mitsuki tired but he was stalling all of them were minus Boruto who was trying his dandiest.

Well kojin specifically seeks him out for his tracking skills but when ao is putting himself down koji states ao is still a formidable fighter and konahamaru couldn't take him alone speaking to his skills

Tracking makes a lot of sense, even considering the little we know of him. He had to be a formidable fighter at the least to be mei’s aid, but he’s never hailed as much, He’s had 2 encounters that would help us with that but we know 0 about how he performed in either

Like you said he use to be meis aid so he's definitely formidable and I'm sure the author has a specific reason in wanting to use him as the arcs threat so I definitely expect him to be pretty strong.

OT: can see something untypical coming up in Boruto unlike the normal byakugan weak feats. Ao must bring something new with those eyes.
