Let' see.Then your problem is that Izanami exists as a plot device and deus ex machina, not that it's an ass-pull.
Glancing through a few definitions, TV Tropes seemed to have one for Asspull that fit the idea well enough. So do other, but I like this one.
"An Asspull is a moment when the writers pull something out of thin air in a less-than-graceful narrative development, violating the Law of Conservation of Detail by dropping a plot-critical detail in the middle, or near the end of their narrative without Foreshadowing or dropping a Chekhov's Gun earlier on."
This "something out of thin air" is Izanami, the "less than graceful narrative development" was Itachi beating Kabuto and having him release Edo Tensei. The Law of Conservation of Detail basically states that "Every detail is important", which is something Naruto rarely follows...but I'm digressing. The rest is pretty self explanatory, but I'd say Izanami gits into the definition well enough.
