I think your misinterpreting. My first sentence is that is was a solid hit. What Naruto couldn't block, the effects of lightning,( being shocked) and the momentum of Sasuke's attack is what left him covered in lightning and what pushed him back.

The goudodamas are clearly in front of him in the scan showing him flying back sasuke never hit naruto directly because naruto would have gotten severely injured at that range so he either jumped back or goudodamas helped him partially.

Naruto's "physical" clothing forms don't offer high defensive capabilities like his chakra cloak forms do. He had to have diverted the Chidori in a way, or else, just like a sword was able to pierce him, so would something like Chidori.

It's just an inconstancy, my dude. It was made for shin to appear somewhat of a threat to them but he still got defeated.
Proof? The actual kusanagi blade couldn't pierce through four tails naruto's skin, rikudou cloak is miles higher than that.

Naruto's RSM is too thick for a normal Chidori to pierce. Its like trying to pierce a tank with a spear.

Regular chidori backed with sasuke's physical strength, it's not like sasuke stops the thrust (giggidy) and let's chidori propel itself

No, it definitely hit him. Why else would Naruto yell and have electricity coming from his body.

Plus, Viz' sound effect for the hit is "THK", and Naruto's yell is "Gah!", sounds like a hit to me.
It's a great tanking feat dammit, you could use this to your advantage.
