Can Kakashi Kamui be countered? Or avoided?

That would just degrade the ability lol. You know you remind me of Amaterasu. Amaterasu wasn't wasted on fodders, it was always used on Kage ranked Shinobi.

Amaterasu became more and more useless because the guys who could avoid it, tank it, made it look so easy. For example, Naruto's V1 shroud, Madara's armor, Ay dodging it, Juubi breaking the burning part off. Kamui was like that as well. It was used on people who could react/avoid it.

Is technically one too. One of the most powerful not sure how it ranks to Kamui tho. We never saw a match between a fully realized Ameno and Kamui user square off.

I'm really curious on how that would turn out. I know you would need outstanding reflexes and reaction time fighting a kamui user anyway which Sasuke has, when Minato fought Tobi with FTG he was quick enough and created and opening, could sasuke be able to do the same with Ameno?

Man I'll tell you this, if he's deadly enough to slice juubi Madara with one of Obito's eyes in half untrained with his new Amenotajikara. I think he could literally slice off obito's head in mid Kamui because of the versatility of his visual prowess.

Who said he was? Dude was strong when he had the Sharingan and was good for a non Uchiha. Non Uchihas have it the worst because maintaining the sharingan drains out a lot of chakra and unlike characters who have a high stamina, he had a low one as well but he was able to sustain it to the point where it was a victory under his name.

He used Kamui in a very intelligent way and cannot be considered fodder. The copy ninja always got the best of his rival.

Didn't Gai's Night Moth distort space and time itself? You think it could cause Obito not to be able to slip through things because his Night Moth was that powerful? It is a one time one use jutsu though like Indra's arrow, so I would assume it to have some amazing feats

Logically both Genjutsu and Kamui require some sort of chakra to manifest their effects, similarly to how CT requires a ball of chakra to pull the earth around it.

So my theory is that the sharingan simply "projects" minute chakra through the air, similar to Amaterasu albeit with standard chakra of a barely noticeable amount, which then produces whatever effect.

Unless Kishimoto is creating physics humans can't even comprehend, Kamui and genjtsus can't produce effects with no influence of force behind them, and if my theory is true, it is feasible that defenses such as Preta Path, the Yata Mirror, or any other ability that absorbs or nullifies chakra (or even one that sends it away) would remove the chakra projection which would cause Kamui or Genjutsu to activate.

This would take extreme skill and timing, but it would work under that situation.

kishi never went into detail when it came to Genjutsu or ocular techniques.

Hence why itachi's hax can't really be countered.

OK I think chakra play a part here. Kamui user projecting some form of special chakra that can open up Kamui dimension but if there exist a chakra(ninjutsu chakra) TSB should absorb it as Kamui tech is classified as Ninjutsu, but it not happen here;
