Is Sai really not Team 7 worthy.?

i know Sai's decent yeah. But I just didnt feel his character in the long run. I couldnt wholeheartedly say that he is relevant to the plot; he's heen more of a placeholder. any of the k11 could have done the same things he did

So I rewatch this Sawyer's video about Konoha 11's character development... and he says that Sai is a forgettable character for him, and I think so too, and I would love to see another character from the Rookie nine to be amember of team 7 instead.

Sawyer thought of having Ino joining Team 7 but we know The ino-shika-cho isnt separable.
So, if you think Sai isnt worthy, who do you think should have joined Team 7 instead of him?

Not surprisingly, I pick Hinata (yikes knowing the popular buzz that Kishi sucks at writing women) to join Team 7 for reasons:

1. The Byakugan and Hyuuga would have been developed more, at least relatively (we know how important The Uchiha is)
2. if Hinata, at that time, were to be Naruto's significant other, then it wouldnt be a bad idea to put her in the same team as him. also, Hinata Sakura and Naruto (let's not forget Yamato) doing missions kind of builds up a good tension among themselves. Poor Team 8 though, disbanded completely. She wouldnt make a difference in that seeing Sasuke again episode but that isnt the point.
3. I love Hinata. Haha

I think neji woulda been a good pick his personality is sorta similar to sasuke and team 7 without sasuke lacked brainpower. Also what's video called I wanna watch it and it'll take forever to scroll through all of sawyers videos co soldering its probably old

This 100%. I'd love to see a lot more interactions between Rock lee and Sasuke. Rock Lee, Naruto, and Sasuke all one team sounds like such a bro-down. I legit wish it was canon.

Sakura got sick and cant wait for Sasuke to comeback, she died with the last words to Naruto : bring back Sasuke

Then Neji the one who still got a fight with Sasuke join Naruto.
Sai is the story connection so i wouldnt change him.

Tbh team Gai is just Gai and Lee even Neji is better for team vision + combat tactic but still Gai didnt teach Nejii any of his unique beside the obivous Taijutsu which Neji is self taught.....

i kind of agree with you. Sai did bring an A game for a long range combat.
as For his deeds on the Kage Summit arc, telling Sakura about the burden Naruto has been carrying since heck, I guess anyone put in the same place as Sai was would say the same. That's why the point of this thread is would have been better if the development given to Sai be given to another K11 member instead.

Neji would have benefitted most, I think.
hinata would have been a better character.
Lee would have added more of a comic aspect and learn more of Kakashi as his master's greatest rival.
and Here I am thinking would have been better if K11, anyone from them assumed that role in different mission so as to delegate development?

Well if we are talking about a replacement from K11 I guess i would go for Shikamaru or Neji. Those two are mature enough to handle Naruto's reckless attitude. Others lets see..Starting form Choji..well he is a brawler but for brute strength we have Sakura so it would have filled the gap but wouldn't have been effective. Ino would have been a weak replacement with no proper support for her. I mean both Naruto and Sakura sort of suck at defending others. Lee may or may not have worked. I am going he would have been suitable but he wouldn't be better than Sai.....also he is not a guy who is good at logic and emotions.... Hinata would have been pretty much fainting all over Naruto and Sakura would have ended up feeling like a third wheel.....we all know Sakura is not good at being sidelined. Kiba and Naruto would have fought all the time. Shino is too depressing and aloof though his skills would have been very handy but he is too conservative to do the things Sai did.

i guess Neji really is the best fit.
about Hinata, I think they would have made a more dynamci team pairing wise, develop SS and Nh simultaneously, then imagine Hinata being the one to actually open up to Sakura about Naruto's burden
