I highly doubt it. Kakashi mastered that shit within months, probably days... J-man mastered it within months.

Well there's different areas to be a prodigy in. Minato's prodigous probably extended more to taijutsu than ninjutsu. The title prodigy is quite variable & flexible.

It is not difficult. Just need high level chakra control! In fact, nearly the whole medical ninja sqaud should be able to create the Rasengan with no problem.

Depends on the nature. If something that would take 15 years to create is created in 3, then that's a prodigy. But we still don't know how hard Rasengan would be to develop under a normal ninja. But Rasengan aside, his intelligence, skill, speed, and power earned him that title. I say it was well deserved.

Speed can mean your a prodigy if you excel at it. As for power, I mean his overall deathly reputation. But the fact that he was hailed as the fastest shinobi in history, is more than enough to be called a prodigy as explained above.
