He needed Koto to dissuade Sasuke if it ever came to him wanting to destroy his beloved homeland rather than killing him, so i wonder which of the two he had more love for

He would kill his brother and live a good life in Konoha alone if he'd loved Konoha more but he didn't.

Those two things aren't really comparable but more so the same thing.

Protecting the village = Protecting Sasuke

And you protect the things you love most.

Kinda obvious it's Sasuke. Everything he did was literally for his sake.

wth are u talking about

how is it obvious? he consistently have taken measures to protect konoha even as an edo. He's always saying he's Konohas shinobi

He had the choice, killing Sasuke and live in Konoha or let him live and leave. Since the latter happened it is obvious that he loves his Brother more than Konoha, hell he loved his family more than his village. Privileges forced him to do all those things.

and I'm asking which of the two did he love most? in other words which of the two would he kill to protect? like if sasuke was going to destroy Konoha and he had no choice but to kill him to stop him, would he?

he gave Naruto Koto just in case Sasuke was planning on destroying the village. Im asking what would he had done if there was no Koto

His mission was to kill every Uchiha, not just to save Konoha but also to make sure the secret would never be known by anyone else. He put both Konoha and the secret of the Uchiha Massacre on the line when he decided to let Sasuke live.

If a person puts something he loves on the line for something else, it's a fair assumption that it's because he loves the other thing more. He also took just as many measures to protect Sasuke as he did to protect Konoha.

Sasuke even though confessed that he would destroy Konoha, Itachi acknowledged and understood his motives since it was all his fault that Sasuke choose to take that path.

He said he loved Sasuke no matter the choices he made. I guess thar included destroying Konoha.

He would do anything for the sake of the Leaf except for killing Sasuke meaning he loves Sasuke as much as the leaf AT LEAST. It's safe to say he loved Sasuke more.

he wanted sasuke alive so he can be killed by a fellow uchiha (plus of course he didnt wanna kill his brother) but his reasons for keeping sasuke alive were more selfish than for the interest of the village. But you do make sense

besides having faith in naruto, when sasuke wanted answers to questions from edo Itachi, itachi could've sat him down and explained everything and convinced him not to go through with his vengeance. But instead, Itachi kept saying he has to protect the village

unless you say Koto was the reason itachi absolutely had to stop Kabuto then that would makes sense but even that is a bit of a stretch

Didn't Itachi also threaten Danzo that he would give out intel to foreign villages if someone harmed Sasuke ?
