When i saw the movie this weekend, it's pretty well known Naruto is the son of Minato. It's open knowledge at this point, which is why there are such high expectations for Boruto.

Namikaze = Minato's name

Uzumaki = Kushina's name

He's not going to change his name because this is his way of respecting/ paying tribute to his mother which he never even touched in reality.

Maybe he should have Namikaze as a middle name.

Don't know why people keep bringing this up. Just because they used his moms name for the purpose of keeping his father a secret doesn't mean that he doesn't like uzumaki as a last name. It would be basically an insult to his mother to change it at this point. Plus, I'm pretty sure he loves his last name, It's like his trademark. It would be stupid to change it and it's stupid for people to think that he should.
