One punch art- the mangka who writes is not that a good artist, I hear and that publishers got another artist for the art part. If true then yes you get to read a manga with good art as an end result. But the credit goes to two different people for art and story that means more time to draw. On top of it redrawing chapters helps a lot for improvement.

Yes that's true, but it doesn't change the fact that the drawing and sequence quality is damn good. Some panels are mind-boggling.

Find some better examples. LOl I am sure there will be- this wasn't all that much.

I read a few chapters on One Punch a couple of years or so before. Just didn't go back to it, yet.

Kishi was a good manga drawer.

But there exist better manga drawer than him that can draw more precise looks of human, animals, or planet terrain.

@Blue: You must be joking, the amount of detail that went in to that is not normal, you might want to open the first image in a seperate window or find a larger version of it, you probably didn't know what you were looking at.

@Red: I already did. :)

Kishi is a great artist but you clearly haven't read enough manga to make that statement.

Yeah these ones ARE good examples. You shouldn't have bothered with the images in the last one that looks like electronic circuits. Those were detailed but not something what I would call mind boggling.

I like art pieces like this better:

Still the artist Murata is well known for drawing for other mangkas too and is an experienced artist. and he is redrawing the webtoon digitally for this series so yes he already has a blue print to go by or improve on it. I checked and he contacted the mangka for redrawing his webtoon for the magazine. So here you have a dedicated and good artist redrawing a webtoon.

If we are talking about digital art then you will find several manhwa's with real nice details and colours. Something I really loved about in the webtoon Orange Marmalade. The breaker art is quite sleek and realistic.

PS: Try to stand with knees bent at that angle and straight back and and make stance like in the image. In front of mirror. Share your experience.

Yup, the original manga as drawn by the mangaka is still on-going and can be found online.

Lol why? One is a stance often used in Martial arts and Yoga, while the other is a stance very similar to the starting position of a sprinter except the front leg is more forward and one arm is off the ground. I can try to mimic them but I don't see what's interesting in doing so.

Vegabond! Monthly series based on a novel and currently on an indefinite hiatus and not sure if it would be finished even. T_T Someone get the mangka back on it.

By the way that's a Seinen manga. You won't find that art style in normal shonnens.

Yea, fair enough.

Dunno I always find that first stance funny and wonder how does it even help during an attack. Maybe I should ask Reborn. xd

Practitioners claim it helps focus and channel Energy/Ki. Seeing as it is present in various different practices, they might have a point. :sdo:

Kishi's illustration is sometimes ok but it's lackluster when compared to works like attack on titan

It only channels back ache to me and makes me feel that I would fall down any moment.

But the point remains-- most examples people will bring will not be from the mangkas who deliver 15-16 pages of art on weekly basis and write the story at the same time.
I see and all good examples of art from independent artists or monthly mangas and some are not even shonen.

Naruto had the highest churn out of chapters per years while it was on- with 46 chapters per year. The drawing was rushed at times and other times it was outstanding. But on an average good enough and eye pleasing to catch the readers and make them stay with them.

I am reading the Ruler of the Land. It's fantastic manhwa and the first arc itself is quite full of fun and action and good plot line. But it's initial art was somewhat lacking and as a result not many know it here.

There seems to be a demarcation on how a manga is drawn for the target audience, in either genre.

But I get what you mean. If you want to enjoy the art monthly and relatively shorter series are the best bet.
