Merica! That's why.
One word: Unhealthy.
If she was a size 12 would you be proud then
I'm speechless. No I wouldn't care, I don't like models period. The fact is she is 5'5 and 280 pounds which is horrible and people are looking up to this. You can be fat/obese and be proud of who you are and know that you need to put your health in mind. If it requires you to go down to a Healthy Weight do it (notice how I said healthy not skinny). Don't stay on an unhealthy weight then glorify it, that's absurd.
unhealthy maybe. But it's time to break these unrealistic images of men and women. Those skinny anorexic ladies you see in magazines and movies are not the norm.
3 out of 4 Mericans are overweight. This lady is simply illustrating the average woman. So who are you or me or anyone else to bash her for this?
I'm a human in the real world and I'm allowed to say whatever I want, it's up to the person receiving my message to decide if it's offensive or worth nothing.
The problem is being overweight isn't something to be "pro" about. You should try your best to be at a "Healthy Weight" not anorexic/overweight.
Don't make assumptions on me not knowing what the norm in society is, I know very well clear.
Fair enough. And let me pose that right back at you. Don't make assumptions that the fact that a heavy set woman on the cover should be something to be ashamed of.
That isn't an assumption, being overweight causes an increase in a variety of problems/diseases that can do severe damage.

I'm not a merican, in my country it's like 1 out of 5 women are overweight, or even less than that, so I could judge her, but I prefer to laugh, for this is ridiculous, really![]()
