A society that makes people feel like shit for uncompromising to unpractical, inpragmatic roles that serve no purpose? Please, society's taking a step in the right direction by pushing the bullshit out of the way. The sooner this nonsense and the people that push it die off, the better.

Sigh...another victim of extreme secular liberalism.

And you're a victim of close-minded brainwashing. Give me one universal benefit that comes from a man not playing with a doll, wearing a dress, or a girl learning karate, playing football, or working on cars? You know, it was once considered a gender role for men to be the only ones with jobs. Do you have a problem with a woman working?

I see no problem with women working, my issue is when women are working out of necessity because of inflation and the devaluation of fraudulent fiat currency.

Defined roles for men and women can be found throughout all societies. Extremist secular liberals are falling into the abyss that we call moral relativism. Once you embrace moral relativism, you can no longer pass moral judgements on others from any rational basis.

Erased the second half because it wasn't necessary or relevant. Women working was once considered against the oh-so vital gender roles. But you aren't against it, you don't support that gender role. That shows that you yourself can be against gender roles, that gender roles aren't always correct and the abolishing of it can actually be good for society.

And they're all bullshit. "Extreme secular liberals" I can just call you a religiously brainwashed bigot. Ten dollar words don't make you anymore right.

and so does society....
Ummm ... cant the children choose for themselves what they enjoy?

Also how can you actually make a child play with something they dont like or enjoy? I would like to know the secret.
I'm not. I probably worded myself wrong but I'm not going to force my daughter to play with dolls and my boy to play with cars if they don't want to. If my girl wants cars and what not I'll get them and if my son wants dolls I'll get them too. If they don't like the toys I won't buy them the stuff they hate.

My girl's little nephew wanted to cosplay as the princess from Disney's Frozen. So they let him do it. Adorable 4 year old ^^ I'm for gender neutrality but if I'd ever be stupid enough to reproduce, I'd make sure my kid wouldn't suffer bullying in school.

Alot of my guy friends have played with dolls, makeup, etc. when they were really little and they're perfectly fine today. I'd let my kids play with w/e as long as it doesn't endanger them.

Where do you get the patience to deal with these simpletons.

Kudos to you, Riker

I'm usually really bored, plus I know it's not gonna be a hard argument for the most part.

Good on you man. I don't get people who think "Better change my kid" instead of "Better handle this bullying situation" when it comes to their kid being bullied.

I used to play with dolls, because I liked them. Never played with cars toys tbh. But that doesn't mean your either gay or lesbian or w/e. It's a childhood thing, your interests change as you grow up. But I was quite aggressive as I grew up, had therapy and stuff because I never knew how to ''play'', I always beat my fellow peers, hence. z.z

That's such BS

Walmart specifically has a boys aisle

and a girl's aisle

I cant believe we're trying to make toys neutral wtf.

Umm and your point? So it's BS if my female or male child wants to play with "girl" or "boy" toys?If my kid wants to play with "boy" or "girl" toys they can regardless of their gender. I didn't say I was making toys neutral. I would raise my kid neutral and not restrict them to play with "girl" and "boy" toys if they don't want to.

I'd let them play with whatever the **** they want. I grew up playing with my sister's barbies, transformers and other action figures. I've done make up with friends for shit and giggles, had both male and female friends when growing up, and I've been let to grow in the direction I want to. I guess it's not as much about toys as it is about pronouns and societal ideals when it comes to cementing gender roles, but then again there are no gender specific pronouns in my language so my speculation isn't as valid.

So, walmart sets our standards and norms now? That says a lot about you if you let flippin Walmart set the standard.

Nope.
My boy is not playing with dolls.

But GI Joes and Naruto toys are ok because we call them Action Figures.

Play with legos, playdoh, squirt guns and yo-yo's those are gender neutral. Rather than parents encouraging kids to play with toys designed for a different gender, they should encourage toy manufacturers to produce gender neutral toys like the ones mentioned above.
